It does. I have Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H. I have tried to run every card individually in every pci slot just to make sure that I don't have bad cards, slots or mb. When i add second card on startup of cgminer it blue-screens.

What version of CGMiner are you using?

My rig is acting up today and I can't get it to stabilize.  It's driving me insane.

I can't get CGWatcher to notice more than one card, and I can't get CGMiner to run for more than 30-45 minutes.  I'm convinced it's the motherboard.

I'm about to just sell everything and buy new stuff.  This old used PC hardware is really getting annoying.  I fix one thing and another goes bad.

how much ram does your system have? what intensity and thread-concurrency are you using?

4GB RAM, and running the 5850 at i19 and 6950 at i17.  I've tried lowering them all to i12 and one will get SICK or DEAD within an hour.  If I use CGWatcher, it only recognizes the 6950, so I can't use it combat the dead/sick GPUs.

It's driving me nuts.  About to try a few different versions of Catalyst and CGMiner and see if that can't get it to stabilize.

Mo GPUs mo problems.

Is the 6950 a 1gb version or a 2gb?

Are you getting a lot of hardware errors while it mines?

I would try adding a second 4gb ram to see if it solves the problem, if it doesn't work with 8gb try removing the old one and just using the new 4gb.

Does Windows read all of your cards?  What motherboard do you have?

Happy to hear it!
I got dual psu configuration 750w lepa for 2 280x gigabytes and 650w corsair for asus 280x and system.
I have tried everything I can find in web and thus far nothing helps. Sad

My issue was power.  Forgot all about this thread!  lol

I swapped out my 850W Antec for a 1200W Thermaltake and now that rig is running 3x5850s and 1x6950 with no issues.

Windows seems to hate this motherboard and I ended up having to play musical chairs with the PCIe slots before getting all 4 cards mining correctly.  Very strange issues, but they are all gelling... for now!  *crosses fingers*

Hi Damnsammit and everyone else!
I am getting the exact same BSOD (as shown in the image) every time I turn on cgminer with more then one card added on the board. I am trying to set up 2 gigabyte r9 280x and one asus r9 280x into one system.
So I was wondering did you found out what the problem were and how to fix it?

haha this might be a long shot but been as your using 13.1 drivers

setup all the cards so there all plugged in and spinning
now uninstall ATI using the setup file
now restart computer
reinstall ATI drivers using custom instead of express install everything except the HFMI audio driver and the atuall Display drivers
now restart computer again
now run the install again and use custom install to install the Display Driver
now restart and try mining

should all work fine and dandy

Sounds bizzare, but I am definitely willing to try it out this weekend.  I will probably just put a fresh install of Windows on there, too, for the hell of it.

Okay, so I am going to try and make this short and sweet (edit:  I failed).  Sunday I was running 2x5850's and mining just fine and dandy...

I went to put in another 5850 that I had just purchased, and I ran into a little bit of a problem with the motherboard design.  It has 5 PCI-E slots, but the power button and the SATA connection are very inconveniently located, so I had to use a riser even though I didn’t want to.  Anyways, I had the riser so no big deal, rigged the 3rd card with some twist ties and rubber bands and cardboard to fit on the outside of the case.  Powered it up, all three cards are spinning.

Next, I figured Windows 7 was going to punch me in the face for adding another video card, and it did, but then I reinstalled Catalyst 13.1 and Windows decided that it liked all three cards and everything seemed to be running fine.

Then I tried my normal pool, Middlecoin, and cgminer would start up, freeze my computer, and then blue screen stop error (see similar image here: http://images.anandtech.com/reviews/system/2008/ibuypower-3waysli/bluescreen.jpg)

I fiddled with it a little more, and still got the same results with Middlecoin…

Now this is where it gets interesting.  After a restart, I try a different pool, an old FTC batch file that I had, and it starts up fine.  Sees all three cards, but only two of them are mining.  The 3rd one is showing like 1200rpms, 0 hashes, and no other reliable figures.

Decided to swap out the 2nd and 3rd cards, and got the same results.  Swapped out the PCI-E riser cable and still got the same results.  Then finally I decided to call it a night and remove the 3rd card.

Now, I tried to start up Middlecoin again, and it still freezes the computer and crashes.

So I was mining my primary pool with 2x5850s, and a few hours later not only did I fail to upgrade to mine my primary with 3x5850s, but I am now just mining my secondary with 2x5850s because I can’t get anything else to work.

FML

TL;DR
