Wouldn't the difference be rather small, because even if both had the same number of transactions, blocks would include on average just 1/10 of the transactions? Or is the overhead of the blockinfo so large compared to the transaction data?

There will definitely be block overhead being added, but not to the point where it's uncontrollable. Over time though the bloat will be apparent.

CNC is as fast as lightning BBQcoin, some transactions go through in 3-4 minutes

I don't have a clue about tech stuff but I'd definitely like if Bitcoin could be as fast as CNC (maybe there were some faster, I've read some posts but I haven't tried those).

Speed of transaction (or lack of it) is biggest bitcoin's issue in my books.

I think it would be nice to decrease the speed to 5 minutes. That would double confirmation speed. 10 minutes is one of the main cons to Bitcoin.

CNC will bloat very quickly as a new block is generated every minute.
LTC will not 4 times faster than BTC as a new block is generated every 2.5 minutes, but will follow the same block halving rules as Bitcoin.
FTC has the same 2.5 minute per block generation speed, but has a start of 200 FTC instead of the 50 presented in LTC and BTC.

EDIT: Corrected data

Incorrect. 1 block in 10 minutes (Bitcoin) with 1000 transactions will be roughly the same size as 10 blocks in 10 minutes with 100 transactions each (CNC). The 10 blocks will be _slightly_ larger due to overhead, but that's negligible.

CNC is as fast as lightning, some transactions go through in 3-4 minutes

Only because of the 60 second block generation time. That will make the blockchain much larger than Bitcoin very soon

What is chain bloat?

It is when the blockchain of a cryptocurrency becomes so big from all of the blocks or transactions that go through. In Bitcoin, a new block is added at a rate of about 10 minutes per block. With CHNCoin (Chinacoin) the blocks are generated at a rate of 1 per minute. That will make the blockchain a very big file in a very short time, but the advantage of a fast generation time is fast verification.

You can use colors and bigger sized letters in signatures to make them stand out more. However, I think the mods changed the signature rules a while ago. I'm not certain but I think newbie signatures cannot change letter size or color, jt members get slightly bigger letters, and each member grade up gets allowed progressively bigger letters and more color in their sig.
