I believe there are good football fans who knows how to be good coaches as well. If you have such talent let's, see how tactical you are when you give the right response.

If you're attacking in the Direction of the arrows, enumerate on;.

1. Name the above Formation.

2. Give the possible challenges associated with this formation.

3. Suggest a positive remedy for the challenges mentioned above.

4. What is the Benefit of the formation.

This is a 4.2.3.1 formation, this formation is a defensive formation, that normally results to what we call counter attacking formation, where the defence is well barricaded with 4 defenders, leaving the central midfielder a bit porous with just 2 central midfielders, but strengthening the attacking midfield with 3 wingers, one at right another in the middle and another on the left. The last 1 remaining from the formation is the attacker Which will be feed mainly from the 3 supporting wingers.
The benefit of this formation is to basically support the number one striker at the front, while having a base at the back that is solid but living the central midfielder a bit empty,  though sometimes you can cause a bit pressure but the defenders are always there to absorb the pressure, it is called a counter attacking formation.

Good you were closer to the final answer. However you've shown that you are not only a football fun but o e who have keen interest in becoming a coach one day. In summary this is the ideal answer. E

*Formation*
   4-2-3-1

 _Attacking advantages_

When attacking, the formation adjust to* 4-1-2-3
The coach might choose to play a single man DM therefore allowing the other two midfielders to support attack, mind you the both wingers are up already making a trio front line.

Not an expert whatsoever, but I'm always interested in the tactical side to of football. Does this analysis have anything to do with a future game though?
2. Give the possible challenges associated with this formation.
One of them is obviously the possibility that the forward gets isolated, especially if the purpose of choosing this formation is to improve the defensive side of the game. If the forward doesn't drop often, then he will need to have a good awareness to beat an offside trap. Another one is probably the possibility of the fullback dueling 1v1 quite often, especially if the midfield doesn't drop too. If you're counter-pressing with this formation, I believe this can be quite weak to counter-attack too.

3. Suggest a positive remedy for the challenges mentioned above.
Others have mentioned choosing a great striker etc, another idea I can think of is to simply use a fluid formation depending on which phase the team is playing on. If they're defending, maybe they can switch to 4-5-1, if they are attacking and controlling the midfield, they can switch to 2-5-3 I guess. Having players with good stamina is also required if they plan to play gegenpressing with it. CMIIW.

Well, it's the gray area of a post, I guess...

How a team tatical play, depends on its rival, and these "underground" levels to make a bet, which is the meaning I "grasp" in your context, would perhaps guide for an in-play match, with five minutes left. (e.g.)

One can be watching the game and notice that the formation of one of the teams seeks to contain and draw it, and depending on how the other team is formed, one could intuit that it wants to go on the attack or negotiate a tie.

With that information, I decide for 1x2.

The challenger thing, I'm sorry it seems like children's things to me, I say fans... Wink

1 That is the 4.2.3.1 formation

2 if you are using this formation against a big team, you will definitely have hard time scoring more goals, since the major purpose of the formation is to keep the midfield working perfectly while you are also keeping your defense intact.

3. Your top 9 must be a strong an intelligent footballer who can convert little opportunity to goal. And the midfielders  must be able to understand when to give a throw pass to your top 9

4. Playing with such formation will help you have a concrete defense as your defensive midfielders can help out with the defense,  forming a 6 men defense, it would be very difficult for your opponent to penetrate easily.

You didn't even give the names of the players on the team, so the manager will know how to use the players.

1. This is 4:5:1 formation.

2. Possibly challenges are, you need to have enough midfiers in your team, who are creative.
You are left with only one stricking option, and the opposition defenders will easily mark him out and the goal out put will be minimal.

3. i. Make sure you have enough midfiers who are creative enough.
ii. Your top 9 must be a player that has pace and strength of players like Halland, Mbappe, Cr7 who can cause havoc to defenders.
iii. Buy a player that can score 20 goals and above as your no. 9.

4. Your team will be solid at the back and your team wouldn't conceed  many goals, as there are enough man power at midfield and the defense.
