The darknet markets will add whatever currencies that will benefit themselves - so if people are using them or if they're holding a lot of the respective coin. Also, anonymity is a good thing for these markets.

This is a scam? All threads are locked and the dev leaving a link for updates isn't clear and looked scammy.

Most likely.... but it remains exciting.  Grin

now that ETH has been added to alphabay (pending apr 1) (apparently)

im hearing alot of chatter in the AlphaBay forums about ZETH being adopted as the darknet currency (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/moved-to-own-forums-please-delete-1802128) for its anon features and smart contracts, of course once it has proved itself and gained some ground.

what kind of impact would that have on the alt scene, and my question is how long until the darknet market admins cotton on to the fact that every time they add a new altcoin for payment optoin it does a x1000, how long until they start adding random coins for the trading gains, basically insider trading, or have they already started to do this with monero? or is this all too below there level? just a thought.

yup that would be fckin lovely! early retirement for me. these small cap crowdsales can really be winners.

Is it the criminal market? i've heard if alphabay is about the illegal thing and it's mean ETH will become the terorist currency or criminal cryptocurrency. is it true?

Alphabay is a dark market where people buy/sell prohibited goods.

If ETH will become a terrorist currency for being used on Alphabay then so will BTC, XMR and pretty much everything ever used for any criminal transaction.

Oh shit ETH is on Alphabay!

Yes they absolutely must know that it will spike the price - anyone who is running one of those sites must have some degree of intelligence.

They also would have, without a doubt, bought up hard in whatever currency they are about to add.

I don't think they will add random coins to gain via insider trading as they already make huge sums from illegal activity (commission on trades) would open unnecessary risks for them.

Also there are only a handful of dark markets large/popular enough to have a real effect on market prices.

I think the owners are looking to protect their business and with all BTC problems coming to a boiling point right now it is ETH which is next in line for ease to purchase for cash/card next to BTC if I am not mistaken.
