Normally I do cash out to my wallet. I mined the 42 early on and honestly forgot about them until today.

Isn't this another reason you shouldn't have a huge balance on the pool account and get it into your wallet?

Yea, I don't think they are really hacking anything. I'm pretty sure it was just a pool owner using logins on various pools until he gets lucky.

Sorry, I just see so many dumb people on these forums(not you) that are just asking to get scammed or can't google/think for themselves.

Lastpass is great, although it's still not going to be the safest due to it being an online password holder. Should be good enough against these types of attacks though, since I am assuming these guys aren't the best hackers out there.

With so many pools I flipped through a few different logins. I was not aware of easy to use password generators that store passwords for you, like lastpass or the one you mentioned. I have been altcoin mining for over a year now and never had a problem, until I did.  Wink Now I will use lastpass for everything. Scammers suck!

I didn't use the same info for every pool, but after using 100's of pools, yeah some get reused.

Who the fuck uses the same info on every pool? Must be the same idiots who use online wallets. Stupid people will always get scammed.

Sad that this has to be said but I imagine lots of others do the same.

I'm pretty sure this all started on Pickaxe's coinye pool. I have noticed several users complaining of this. I used the same pass for the pickaxe coinye pool, coin army's usde pool and I guess happyminer's 42 coin pool. I think that's all but honestly I dont remember. With all the fail pools at launches there are too many logins to remember if I reused any anywhere else. So far I have lost about 30,000 usde and the big one is .0015 [42].  I am going to start using lastpass for all of my pool logins. There's an active scammer out there emptying pool accounts. I've lost over .2 btc and it sucks. You live and learn I guess.
