2) If you want to use any potential standard, you can also use the proposed IANA currency registry, then you could write BTCX or just BTC.
3) I'd rather have this symbol being a "proper" B + stripes (which is anyways already a Thai Bhat symbol) than this bolded, weird monstrosity, no matter how you generate it in BB-code

tags have no spacing. A search engine that sees it as "X BTC" doesn't understand what means.
