Thanks HPC, that worked!

Weird that they couldn't implement a feature that all it takes is a back-up restore.. In theory, all you need to do is create a parameter that lets you change it back to the original address, right?

I absolutely don't.

And by the way your worded that, I'm guessing it's a one-way trip if I do something I shouldn't.  Angry

Perhaps I should get into contact with the original developers or the new team? I know the project has been discontinued but would a "patch" or a small update to adjust it be really that troublesome to create? On StackExchange some people asked the original team to get around it but I guess they never worked it out in the final updates.
Honestly, I doubt they'll do anything... but you can try... one last thought:

Have you simply tried restoring your wallet using your backup "wallet words"? I would assume that as those labels are not stored anywhere other than your wallet file, that if you restore, it won't find those labels... and the new version of your wallet will just have the addresses.......... in theory Tongue

Also, it isn't exactly a "one-way trip"... providing you take full backups of the files and have your wallet words etc. It just isn't an "open a text file and change some text and click save" type of adventure. Wink

... I'm not tech savvy...
Unless you have a good grasp of commandline scripts, Python, AES-256 encryption, Google Protobufs etc... you're asking for trouble Tongue

How difficult is it to do all that? I'm not tech savvy but I'm willing to take a shot.. Provided there's some way to back it up and restore if I screw it up  Grin

I don't think you can very easily. You'd probably need to edit the wallet file itself... given how easy it seems to be to break and/or corrupt the wallet file, I wouldn't recommend it...

At a guess... this would require that you decrypt the wallet file, then convert it from the ProtoBuf format to text... edit out the label text... and then reconvert back to ProtoBuf... and then re-encrypt it... all without breaking anything Tongue

Before switching from Multibit HD I was wondering if it was possible to make a change in the interface.

I want to change the highlighted descriptions to the original addresses, like the remaining payments.

I assume because the functionality isn't available in the options of Multibit HD, I might have to dig around the files. Would it be possible?
