As a newbie, chances are you'll just steal whatever coins are deposited to that address.   Undecided

While I can assure you I wouldn't I completely understand the suspicion.  Contest is now over, sadly and unsurprisingly people going door to door won by a wide margin.  I went ahead and returned all the donations we got.

Honestly, I won't be surprised if the thread is deleted either.  We were given this contest a couple hours ago and told to raise money so hard to establish legitimacy in that amount of time.

I am afraid that your thread might be deleted. There is no confirmation of your campaign legality. And I am not sure if forum rules forbid asking for money at all.

Might want to include an URL, but most people here won't donate to charities as they're usually suspicious of them unless they're verifiable and are seen as essentially begging regardless of your true intent.

Hi Guys,

I'm in a charity competition that's raising money for St. Jude and local (Memphis) homeless shelter.  The other teams are all raising money offline but, I figured the bitcoin community is cooler than offline people so I built a website (in under an hour so it doesn't look so good).

Competition ends at 5 central time.  Feel free to send me any questions.

We were given the challenge to raise money a few hours ago so hard to show how legit I am.  I'll be happy to do whatever you guys suggest, receipts, photos or whatever.
