The name of this topic is absolutely true, you can’t get anything just like that, even if you give the poor a lot of money, nothing good will come of it, a person will go crazy, everything would be different if he achieved something with his own forces and put his soul into it, then he will have no problems.

I see nothing wrong with donating to a charity as long as it is a real charity and not a scam.
Make sure you have the proper documentations and tax id number for tax benefits.

Honestly with the culture of handouts disguised in the name of charity, this has made a lot of people very lazy!

Because people are aware of such humanitarian help everyone now wants to use this card and the waste part of this is everyone now has that one sad story to tell trying to prey on one's emotions to get the help they don't deserve. I honestly think people that need genuine help usually never ask for it, hope i don't sound inhuman am just thinking out loud.

The rate at which people are seeking for charity is becoming alarming. You see them everywhere on the street

This is true, and generally when you see people on the street, those people are being paid to be there out of the charity's funds. So if you give to the charity, you may be doing some good, but you'll also be paying the wages of these "charity muggers" who accost people on the street.

Before you give to any charity, it is important, as with new crypto projects, to do some research. Some charities have CEOs and ambassadors on huge wages, some charities are inefficient and the money is wasted, some charities the money gets siphoned off by corrupt middlemen.

I find this site invaluable: https://www.givewell.org/  They analyse charities thoroughly, to give you a very good idea of exactly where your money is going, and what is the most efficient way to help people.

There are two kinds of people were seeking money from others in the name of mercy.First one are the people who are looking for money to survive their day and the other looking for money to survive their life.
So its on our hand to choose which one need to be helped most.
No one care about the kinds of people that plead for charity the only people that deserves charity are the orphans, natural disasters victims, internally displace people, physically handicapped, the oppressed, the mentality and emotionally challenged and the list can go on but once you are sound and physically capable in all ramifications you need to source for a means of living and then you would find internal satisfaction and more confident poor background or lack of education should never be an excuse
But the reality is chances of getting money by the homeless person for food over the hot girl for her boob related operation are very tiny.

I no longer give to charities. I am prepared to offer payment for work, but very few are prepared to take up the offers, even if it is something simple such as washing the van.
Yes more and more people are looking for the easiest way out and taken the avenue of charity is one. I don't subscribe to people making a living out of begging when they can make a honest living no matter how little from working. What I tell them is
Me: do you have hands and legs
Them: yes
Me: Are you blind or disabled
Them: no
Me: get your ass up and work

I'm sometimes known as "miniadmin"
There are many charities that have some dishonest management, usually the ones receiving more donations, but luckily, there are still some that really work. Many friends of mine have gone as volunteers to European refugee camps, and there was a huge difference between (say)Red Cross, and a charity few people knew about. The first ones were there for the pictures, the latter were there to work.

Charities need to have good marketing teams, because if there is no money, they can do nothing (even if they do little to start with). Now, there are some very different ways of doing such marketing. I am a volunteer on NGO Sea Shepherd Global, because I like how they handle things. Said marketing is one of the things I liked most; they don't ambush you in the middle of the street for you to sign some petition or donate money; they go with their fleet to wherever they need to go, and document everything. Then, those documented things are what they show the people as a "proof" of their work (many of us have seen the Whale Wars on Discovery).

In conclusion, (not on my personal example anymore) charities do need to ask for funds, because if they did wait for people to donate out of the blue, there would be no donation. Instead, they ask you to donate so that they can do X, Y and/or Z. Transparency of the donations is the key here; to see that what you have donated does indeed something more than paying a 5 star hotel next to a refugee camp

The rate at which people are seeking for charity is becoming alarming. You see them everywhere on the street, in the news, on social media when ever a celebrity post something the slide the comment box begging that they don't have money for food etc(but have money to get a phone and pay for subscription).
This whole thing has gotten to me has this charity thing been bastardise.

A woman set up a motherless with very few kids  baby home and I made sure I supported her and so did others so I paid her a little impromptu visit just to find out that resources giving to get for this kids where diverted to her  personal interest.

This days every one is begging and demanding charity even those that are physical able to engage themselves meaningfully, I would rather give arm to a person that is struggling by working hard than to a person seeking for it on the road side.
This whole charity frenzy has even giving avenue to scammer, they now set up fake charity site in false pretense to either run a charity organization or sends the funds to charity homes just to defraud people.
Also charity doesn't only mean to just give financial aid but also give guidelines, motivation, encouragement to find something doing or suggest something for them, love and support. We get it wrong by just sending fund just like that to any charity course we should be part of that course monitoring their progress knowing how funds are being used and so on and by so doing can also discover if it's genuine or not.
