In the end of last september Decred and LiteCoin made the first "Atomics Swaps On-chain", where a portion of Decred was change by Litecoin, directly with no need of exchanges or 3º parties. They release also the info, that this method can already be applied to Decred (DCR), Bitcoin (BTC) and Litecoin (LTC). According to Decred developers that will allow a greater fluidity of the market and a inter-operability between currencies.
