There s no relation between this forum with the price of bitcoins.Price of bitcoins is regulated on its own ,on the other hand forum is facing some technical issues.price is going down as there is selling of bitcoins rather than buying,that is what here it is happening.
Why would you link the price of Bitcoin with the "down time" of this forum? It cannot possibly be because you think the signature income and
related advertising might have such a huge impact? Someone should actually take some time and count how many people participate in these
signature campaigns at any given time and then calculate "more or less" how many bitcoins are being circulated because of this. It might be

If you take a look at 24 hours chart at any source you would like you'll see right about the time forum went down price started to drop by the hour.
Is it true ? But I find too hard to believe this because traders will not be having time to check forum (I'm not going to see they are not at all checking but definitely not while trading). I do see some discussions about latest news are here but not coming up with decision helping hot news, some crypto based news sites are faster than forum members to give latest crypto related events. If this is true, why prices of bitcoins need to go down when our forum is down. I just see it is a coincident, nothing else.
Still I too suggest people to donate to keep this forum more secured and versatile against any threats.

I sincerely doubt there is any correlation between the forum downtime and this very minor price decrease. This is just the market going down and high as usual.

Forum wasn't down for everyone. I was able to access it without any issues over the past few 'under attack' days.

That's comparing two things that aren't the same. Although Bitcointalk is a lage center of discussion and communication, believe it or not people have other ways of talking about Bitcoin and we're not the center of the world. That being said, it is a nuisance when we're DDOSed and I wish people wouldn't do it to us.
I agree with your point that people have their own source of details about the bitcoin and only this forum is not the main part for the bitcoin information. Here in this forum we can get full details about the bitcoin and altcoins but the users are now very intelligent and they dont go with the scammers and other types of rumors

Hackers love to DDOS this site but Theymos already has his custom forum build and bug bounties so downtime is pretty much all we see.
Kind of annoying but a part of it is the demand and number of people observing the forum is also higher during peak rallies.
Then people go back to sleep after it pops ^^.
I don't think forum down time directly effects the price. Any noticeable price movements are likely coincidental. Most big players don't even post here I assume.

that is just a funny coincidence and from what i have been reading, it seems like the downtime was only affecting parts of the world and not everyone.

Many people which earning bitcoin through this forum will be panic sell theirs as they may worry what happen with bitcoin, just speculate.

Maybe you're the only one noticing because a very, very slight correlation doesn't equal a causation. The change is only barely visible in the chart, maybe $20 or something, and that's just completely normal variation especially when it's rising so suddenly. Regardless, it was strangely half down rather than full on down. I could access it, albeit very slowly and with some gaps, which I'm still getting today.

Theirs no provable cause that is is but we can't erase the fact or fuds with that thing since bitcointalk is the main site where people go if they want to find something or get something. But remember mate bitcoins prices are normally going down and up since theirs stable for it at all and this is not the first time bitcointalk go down and surely it will comeback soon.
And theirs nothing we can do for peoplea emotion for this issue since theirs no exchangers,wallets,institution or whatsoever big names site who hold bitcoins has been compromised so just relax and maybe your tense about this thing occuring but let the admins work for this to be solve and fuds are just fuds.

Only $20 dollars if I'm reading those charts correctly it dropped from $1232 to $1212 from morning which is not that significant, not that this forum isn't important it's actually considered the heart of the community of cryptocurrencies.

This might be possible, because digital currencies are technology backed and were completely speculative. For this reason thereare chances of price getting affected due to the forum down time. Even if you consider the existing altcoins, speculations were much required to grow their value after ICO launch.

Me too, I dont think that the forum can't be accessed by us, members of the forum, can affect the bitcoin price. Bitcoin transactions are no made here, but it can be a cause or a reason to start such transaction. These forum is all about the information about bitcoin and not realted to prices at all. Maybe there is another reason for that but there are no way that these forum affected the bitcoin's price.

And besides, forum downtime affects only selected users and not the whole community. Also I see no price decrease just because of this even you look at all 24 price monitoring system at any chart provider or exchange.
Exchanges are the place where people do buy and sell with the instant effect of the price market and not on the forum where the only way is via person to person trades.
