I am willing to offer just about any player here the following proposition...

You play against a computer.  You start with a rook advantage.  We can hop around our knights until you take a rook, and then we hop the knights back into place.  From that point on, I will be using a computer on my end (starting down a rook).  As long as you are not an experienced tournament player, we can bet 0.01 BTC.  I wouldn't bet more unless you have some kind of good reputation - too easy for someone to cheat by using their own computer or just lying about their rating.

The pictures are on the shot glasses. After you take out a few pieces it may be harder to tell them apart due to the amount of alcohol you've consumes.

I wonder how big those shot glass game pieces are. They can't be the normal size, right?  Smiley

If normal is 1oz to you then yes they are normal.

I was thinking 1.5 oz. of liquid. I don't think I could do 16 in the time it takes to play a game.

Well, if you win/lose with pieces on the board, do you do all the shots? And after like 10, you would probably be too drunk to figure out chess Cheesy

Ha. I think the loser would do all of the remaining shots. Death Chess.

What's bad about free drinks? Cheesy

Alcohol poisoning and free death?

You say that like it is a bad thing...

its almost recommended that Alcohol is bad thing and which person using too much going to near death

Yes, you are right, I was being sarcastic.

Checkmate in 4 moves... Cheesy That would be terrible.

I always found these to be a bad idea, but now I think you just fill them with some lighter alcohol, like cider or wine. Also better figures would not hurt.

is there any site where you would have to deposit the btc before the game so the winner will not take the risk of not being paid?

you have good idea actualy some one should make a site like that mind game or pvp with bitcoin gambled !

Yes, that is a good idea, coins victory is doing that, as I mentioned before. Additionally, you can ask John K. to escrow, if it's above pennies.

thank you guys!

Playing online chess for money would be a competition between who has the better chess program and CPU time.

Yes, I suppose so. But if you do chess clock, there is a strategical trade off Cheesy Let CPU go longer for some moves, less for others.

it would be good to have a chess website on which anyone can bet on 1v1 with a little hause hedge, like poker

Random people might just cheat, but it would be a fun bot vs. bot competition. I think coins victory is doing this.

how do you differentiate between the different pieces (king, queen, pawn..)?

If you look close enough you can see the pieces are in the shots.

Yes, they are just images on the glass.

Who wants to play chess with me? Chess is one of my hobby during high school.

I will play if you can find a site that is not blocked by my work firewall (it has to be a not so obvious game site)

You could both set up a board, and write coords via PM.

Want to play?  I can open up the Microsoft chess board and we can send moves?

You do not need a supercomputer to run a chess bot..... it doesnt have to be as good as deep blue in order to beat the average human, or even above average

I would think most people playing for larger amounts of money would be able to beat a PC bot. But at .01, it might be cheatery.

its many time happen human can beat computer and good mind can do any thing

I thought that the best machine beat the best human but maybe I don't remember well.

I think it happened once, but not consistently. And that was one of the fastest computers in the world.

Ummm....the people that beat the computer were grand masters.  I highly doubt anyone playing for .01 is a grandmaster

I highly doubt anyone playing for .01 BTC owns a supercomputer either Cheesy It would cost more in power consumption.

Probably why he wants to play for bitcoins.

Good human players can beat a chessbot anyway. Play the computer on the highest level, and you can still win.
