No worries it really cut down on time but it caused the network to explode as everyone was able to plot in well under 1 hour. Especially when pool plotting was released MadMax was released about the same time. If it was not it would have taken large farms a very long time to replot everything to get the correct plots to be able to pool. Instead, they were able to accomplish this in days.

I did not know about the existence of this method / script madmax it seems to me that it really saves a lot of time, yesterday after 12 hours of waiting the plot was not finished yet and i turned off the computer so a lot of time and resources wasted, i will try with madmax thanks for the information

Yes, the old way of plotting was put to bed a few months ago. Take a look at MadMax it can cut your plotting time down to around an hour or less depending on your system's specs.  You can find the Github below and there is a ton of documentation there to assist in getting it set up quickly. I used it when I need to replot all my old plots to join a pool and it was amazing how fast it was complete.

i am creating my first plots on chia but it has been going on for about 10 hours already, is there a way to speed it up? change any settings before starting? more core / threat or more ram? I'm already doing the temporary on ssd and plots on hard disk
