Hello everyone
Last week, a well known youtuber named Chico Crypto mentioned briefly Shipchain on one of his videos:

While this video captures only real facts, such as Shipchain joining the Baseline Protocol community in March 2019, it left many people puzzled at what it meant and what Shipchain actually was?
I'm one of the (non-affiliated to Shipchain) community managers, token holders and node validators on the Shipchain blockchain and trust this post will provide you some answers.
To avoid making a long post, we have gathered a FAQ on Shipchain on this Medium article, which we would recommend everyone to read.

Regarding Baseline Protocol, Shipchain's engagement there is in line with its core values and purpose: bringing the public blockchain technology to entreprises (of the logistics industry) and making it affordable even for small and medium size companies.
Similar to joining the BiTA (Blockchain in Trucking Alliance:
https://www.freightwaves.com/news/shipchain-joins-blockchain-in-trucking-allliance), being part of this consortiums gives a better chance to Shipchain to make it happen and eventually establish their Open-source solution as a new Standard for the industry.
Have a look at the FAQ to find out which way Shipchain intends to scale up while staying decentralized.
We look forward to pursuing exchanges with some of you on our channel.
