China now stands on the front lines in many things. I think now China is in the top in the world for the main indicators of economics, military, politics.

I don't think that China and Russia have such military force that will be compared to the US and West. US and West have NATO, but Russia and China have poor countries on their side

We have enough nuclear weapons to break the World a few times =)

China and Russia are challenging the military supremacy of America and its allies and the West can no longer rely on the strategic advantage it has enjoyed until now, a leading think tank states in its annual report.

The Military Balance 2018 report, produced by the IISS (International Institute of Strategic Studies) warns that while war between the great powers is not inevitable, Washington, Moscow and Beijing are now systematically preparing for the possibility of conflict.

The report details the drive by the Chinese leadership in acquiring and expanding its formidable arsenal. In the air, this includes the Chengdu J-20 combat aircraft entering service in 2020, which means the US losing its monopoly on stealth aircraft. Meanwhile its PL-15 extended range air-to-air missile system will be equipped with electronically scanned radars – technology few other nations possess.

There have been similar advances in naval capabilities. China’s programme over the last 15 years means it has built more corvettes, destroyers, frigates and submarines than Japan, India and South Korea combined. The total tonnage of its new warships and auxiliaries launched in the last four years alone, the report points out, is significantly greater than that of the entire French navy. The launch of its first Type–055 cruiser illustrates its blue water capabilities enable it to deploy further including off the coast of Europe. Its base in Djibouti, in the Horn of Africa, lays the ground for missions at vast distances.

Honestly I'm not surprised that both countries actually caught up with the United States when it comes to military power. Russia in itself has alot of scientists that actually do great work in term of weapons engineering. AK47 personally is a good weapon and it's still used today. China is a powerhouse whem.it comes to production and reproduction of goods. China has a ton of population to convert to military and the actual funds to do it. Besides the fact that china and russia are allies.

China and Russia may show an increase in the military population, but the military technology of the United States is far ahead, and it is doubtful. The only thing that China can not produce is airplane parts, so China constantly takes plane parts from the United States. Many people do not know this information. There is also a very useful website as http://armedforces.eu/compare/country_China_vs_USA

Welcome to a multipolar world where there is no sole superpower but rather multiple superpowers expanding their spheres of influence and conducting proxy wars. Enjoy the ride, it'll last for a long time.

Ultimately who cares what other nations posses. So long as they all keep up they will never go to war. Why you ask? Well its simple, because when one of them is about to be defeated they WILL use their nuclear weapons. Then the exchange happens and everyone loses.

Alternatively, one nation decides to first strike knowing this will be the outcome. So then the exchange happens and everyone loses.

There is no scenario where there will be winners. Therefore there will be no direct war between these powers.

The Chinese replica is always worse than the original. There are no technologies at all in Russia. They are good to do the mechanical part of the product, but they have no electronics at all.

The entire political scene of this world is changing.

Let's just think of how many more countries now are endowed with a nuclear bomb... USA, Russia, Great Britain, France, China, India, North Corea, Pakistan, Israel... and perhaps even Iran.

And these ones are only the ones that we know for certain. There may be others arming themselves (Saudi Arabia? Canada?) and also others that used to have nuclear weapons in the past which "apparently" don't have them anymore, like South Africa and Ukraine.

This fact alone should give us an idea that USA are no longer the one and only superpower.

On one side this is scary, on the other side it may be a factor that contributes, for the moment, to keep things balanced and guarantee "peace".
