Although from your topic which is China and third world countries I was thinking you mean the relationship between China and third world countries which in my opinion is a little bit weird. China has been giving lots of loans to this 3rd world countries but no one knows what the extent of the payback would be like.

Is China a 3rd world country?
Does a mayor put his family in charge of municipal jobs?
Do regional governors employ their family rather than the people having studied for it?
Do ministers put family members in charge of government tasks?

Rural China is quite different from urban China.

That is what makes a 3rd World Country, German became one when the the Finance minister facilitated support for his brother, later that brother gave him a price for doing what is his job description.

There is no perfect country and not even China or US are exempted from the reality, China has the problem but also have a lot of areas where they are strong, not just strong they are higher than ever other countries in such areas.

I don't think it's any different from what every other country is facing. I'm not saying other countries are facing the same problems as China, but every country has its problems in the financial, health, security, and economic sectors. Every country has what they're dealing with. What matters is how they handle the problem or how they manage it to make sure it doesn't become something unmanageable in the future.
I can bring up problems the US is facing currently and I can do the same for Japan, the UK, Canada, France, Germany, Russia and every other country in the world.
This doesn't mean these countries don't have anything good going for them, so why are the standards different with China?

In an Article published by the Economist: China and the pressure they are under:

Titled China’s financial system is under brutal pressure
But is it? Macro economical data is there so people (hopefully with insight and common sense) are able to judge a Country. In order to invest data is necessary, data and trust are the foundation of business.

Now there is a formal economy and an informal one. The informal economy is quite huge in the 3rd world where trust is scarce and there is little control. In some countries it is the engine keeping the economy afloat, So how is China, if you believe social media the country is about to reach 2030 tomorrow.
