I noticed that everybody is going down and neither NEO nor ETH is rising. The result is still going on for a while already. There seems to be a vast effect to the whole cryptcurrency market because of the actions of the chinese government. This has to end now. I am losing a significant amount already.  Angry
If you think the price of Ethereum falls down, maybe you are calculate rate BTC.
Look at the rate USD of Ethereum, it still keeps around $300 to $250 in few months ago til today.
So, I think Ethereum still strongly wtih the potential of it.

The money will go to the somewhere where there is profit, ico ban does not very important for investors, it's the problem of projects. There are a lot of different legal options for chinese investors to invest in.

It is a legitimate possibility, though. If the ICO ban or any other of their crypto-related bans are relaxed anytime soon, it'll be rather suspicious.

Yes, definitely someone is really benefiting from all this fake news coming from China. Just look at the timing of their announcement. So I suspect that an insider trading is going on, whether its the whales from China or some big investors in their country. The timing was really a good indication, we are enjoying a massive run and even touches $5000 in a moment. And when everyone is sleeping in the other side, China made their announcement about banning ICO's in their country. And then massive dumps occurs but the whales have already profited then started buying in dips.

If China continues to interfere with economic events in this way, it may soon be in trouble. Is not it childish to do this? Chinese people make fun of what they do.

I think that the price of coins like NEO will rise in the long term.

I can imagine it took you at least several weeks or even months to get to a significant amount of profit. Don't panic because of 2-3 days of losing. It will restore once ppl get back to their senses. This is the good moment to buy whatever you wish to have.

The money will go to bitcoin and finally to usd nothing else will happen ico ban means people living in china cannot hold any coins including bitcoin (this is the current mentality of investors from china) i said in past even if the price falls it's good for us only I'm happy my buy order at 4200$ got filled i hope you all will also buy some more bitcoins

ICO is banned in China, does this mean that Chinese money will go to Ethereum tokens (Golem,  Lisk, TIME...)?

It means we are all going to suffer due to chinese people panic-selling almost all the crypto they have. Look at the trading platforms and you will see how this chinese people are dragging the rest of the alts and bitcoin down. The government is not only after ICOs, they are also after exchanges. This will get the stability soon though after the market adjusts.

@grexmebeen. No, all the investors will go back to bitcoin and the other trusted proof of work coins like litecoin, Monero. While some investors will go to the more speculative mined cryptocoins like viacoin on vertcoin.

The predict next step of the bans will be on the exchanges. The SEC might start ordering them to delist ICOs by December this year.

Is not that something that often happens in China with some limitations that really improve their idea in overcoming the illegalization in their country.
I can say this is just some kind of marketing strategy that they will definitely find something more profitable than their prohibition.

After the issuance of the token of the People's Bank of China (Tohoku) tokens, more than 40 ICO platforms have announced their inactivity. Banks also received instructions to stop providing services to ICO platforms. These services include: account opening, transaction, payment ... For current ICO accounts, the bank will check, assess the risk of hidden money laundering. If there is a violation, this account will be processed.
Although ICO is banned, many investors still believe in the development of blockchain technology behind Bitcoin. "Cryptocurrency is still worth the investment, what comes down is there."
I also agree, we know the rules were created forbidden,  Smiley
maybe the Chinese people will not take silence, because ICO one of the new breakthrough to have a fund or a new business  Wink

ETH is gonna die when NEO gonna unleash it's full potential, mark my words Smiley See ya in 2018Q1 / 2018Q2.
90% of all ETH ICOs are pure scam, only few are worth mentioning.
What chinesee did, is to not ban ICOs, but get regulations, so 99% of scam ICOs won't pass thu them. Only the ones worth investing prevail, so our - investors - money, will go to decent developers, and not scammers.
Where in the hell do you get the "90% of all ETH ICOs are pure scam" statistic from? Granted, many of them are unoriginal but I would argue that a minority are actual scams.  Furthermore, it will take A LOT of major fuck ups within the ETH community to completely divert people to NEO or other Chinese-backed currencies. Remember, we are talking about a government which controls all aspects of every industry within, and many outside, of its traditional borders. People talk about fear of SEC regulation, but at least the process to that regulation is fairly transparent. The "Party's" regulation process is one you won't know about till it reams you from behind.
Long term, there is no way investors with legitimate concern for where their money is being held or who it is being held by will invest in an organization backed by an opaque regulatory organization.

The spread of fear, uncertainty and doubt (FUD) over the ban on ICO in China seems to be coming to an end: after the panic that swept the financial market participants in connection with the announcement of the ban on ICO, Chinese start-ups began to return the funds collected to the ICO, and the organizers abolished the blockade. Information was found that China intends to allow ICO after the establishment of licensing rules.
There are no schedules for creating the necessary regulatory measures that will make the ICO activities under the control of the state, not currently named.
About this government official, said a representative of the Institute of Finance and Banking Hu Bing on the local television channel CCTV-13.

I was wondering with this one too, anyone here who has NEO as of now?, does it the value of NEO depletes? NEO is a china base ICO right?, so meaning for this events i believe NEO must be the first coin that will be affected by china's decision of ICO banning.
