do you get the source from where about the topic you created? this can be said as FUD if you do not include the source you are discussing, because this can be very decisive for the future investors. which causes prices to become unstable.

Yes it can not be. They turn out just take away our freedom. This is different and can not be named. What prevents them from ICO?

You can't stop the internet, so baning will not be 100% bulletproof. It is a good try, but t is still a try not the success.
I don't like to hear this, but one day they will lose control.

you can stop internet if you want to
China came as close as possible to that but they have their own reasons to be doing what they are doing
they haven't banned people from using cryptocurrencies, but they are regulating it in a different way
ICO,banks that were dealing with cryptocurrencies and exchanges one day found themselves outlawed

The Chinese are big strategists. They never do anything against their interests. Ban ICO aims to protect your capital. I think that in the future the Chinese will organize ICO on their territory. Even if they are scammers, they will attract investments to China. This money will remain in China anyway. A very good strategy.

Isn't this news has been around since last year? if this is for real what will be their move against the biggest supplier of miners.

I won't believe with this news after the ICO ban last year, it's not clear on what is the stand of China regarding this issue.

Also is it really China's government? we are generalizing China since weibo and baidu is from China.

When it comes to internet and worldwide connectivity, China has been playing safely and smartly be it websites getting banned or content being heavily censored and now cryptocurrencies.

The Chinese government that heavily restrict internet access find it easier to prevent information from flowing in and out of the country. Data safety is a major concern nowadays for countries. Crytpocurrency landscape which is highly interrelated and anonymous is an expected matter of concern for a country like China. So banning the exchanges which are prone to hacking and hence in turn can risk the data, is something which is expected out of Chinese way of handling things related to global network.

China will block all sites related to cryptocurrency and ICO transactions, including foreign sites.
Ads on cryptocurrency and ICO disappeared from Baidu and China's Weibo
China applies a variety of controls to ICOs and domestic and foreign crypto trading platforms, including a decision to ban all other related businesses, such as local and foreign crypto trading sites.
This statement is seen as a "knock-out" to completely stamp out the domestic cryptocurrency market.

Well im not aware on this issue though but i surf around the internet to have one and this is what i got. The link is down below and feel free to look at, and i think this would positively affect the users or holders as of now , i think it would cause the marketplace to go red again , i hope not.

China could not control the development of ico, so there was a very stringent regulatory policy, trying to stop people's attention on cryptocurrencies and ico, but could not stop the free transmission of cryptocurrencies and the development of blockchain, as the exchange shifted overseas and users The transfer is still continuing!

I think China purpose of banning ICO is just try to create a very strong regulation or maybe they really can't stop ICO and crypto currencies of existing as they will going to end the banning ICO on September here is the link http://bitcoinist.com/chinese-official-new-regulations-2018-may-end-ico-ban/. I heard before this decision that even there is a halt policy still the Chinese folks are finding ways to elude the policy.

Despite the fact that this country has never supported adopting cryptocurrency and ICOs this news is really really bad.
Things are not really easy from the start, they can do whatever they want, and if this what China wants then they are free to do it, still although China has high demands of users/investors/miners still it does not end the world of cryptocurrency, so I don't worry much about it.

I never hear this news, I'm not sure china will block all sites since china not accept bitcoin to that country.
Is hard if block the cryptocurrency and ICO sites. I'm sure china just banned bitcoin only. Not block all sites about cryptocurrency and ICO.
The government still search about cryptocurrency problem and the market.

Such news is always there, I am constantly experiencing similar threats for at least 1 year. I think the Chinese government is making a lot of money with Bitcoin , but it does not allow people to use Bitcoin. You can guess why.

It seems to me that this is happening because the Chinese government has seen a tendency to capital outflow from the country towards cryptocurrencies. ICO is generally a direct competitor of China. They are accustomed to being a leader in the world for the organization of business in their territory. I think that China intends to only support the ICO in China.
And it is really causing a big impact with the price of bitcoin right now, we must admit that China has a great impact here, and a big loss if they cannot really access any bitcoin, and we all know too that they are one of the biggest miners of virtual currency, so a big loss in price if ever.

China has always been the first one and the most effective one in order to oppose crypto currency . After banning crypto currencies and bitcoin in their country this is the another major step that they are taking in order to remove or wipe any sign of crypto world from their country .
It is always a surprise because China was one of the biggest hubs for bitcoin . But what is it all for ? Obviously they are planning something big like endorsing or publicizing their own crypto currency liked with their fiat.

I do not see any problems in this.
Last year in China banned ICO and what it gave ? After a slight correction bitcoin reached an unprecedented height,
it happened during the ban on ico in China!
Then we can assume that all the negative news is not so terrible, much more influence have a market manipulators.
The fact that in China prohibit trade is nonsense, how to do it ?

Maybe this is one of the reasons of why Bitcoin market value cannot rise up permanently due to lot of obstacles are on its way including this one. If China will block the ICO then for sure lot of Chinese investors will be affected losing all potential investments that will support the Bitcoin market. Better if they should regulate it instead of banning as it has more Chinese people are already into Bitcoin investments.

China has always been very critical on bitcoins and crypto-currencies.First,it was banning exchanges, then ICOs and then harassing those who engage in mining activities. They use to control over a third of the mining power. The chinese government blocking all sites related to crypto-currencies is like its final efforts to deny its citizens access to cryptos. It is really sad.The problem with such move is that people will find a way to access crypto-related services using the darkweb.I personally believe that after these crypto-hostile governments have done all they can do to stop cryptos and fail eventually, they will have no choice than to accept it.The world will be eventually decentralized. That is anthropologically conceivable.
They will do anything for the sake of their own coin, no doubt about it, they can do freely what they want and if they are happy with that, let them be, after such time for sure they will finally open the world for crypto especially  bitcoin and when China already opens the door some countries will follow then.

Well, they are against scamming and fraudulent ICOs, as Google itself. To say the truth, from the last month there are a lot of new ways of pishing, scamming &co.
Now, China has been known by their opposition to crypto, so I am not surprised about them pursuing, as other platforms, all this new scamming and fraudulent activities involving ICOs and some other crypto.

China, basically just like any other government, doesn't care about scams and whatnot. China only cares about how it can keep the majority of its inhabitants ignorant, and that has been going on for years now. Their logic basically is that as long as people remain ignorant, they are very easy to control. Crypto allows people to move value from one country to another instantly, and that without the need to visit a that other country. Capital outflow is one of China's main sensitive spots, and let crypto be the ultimate tool giving people that precious bit of freedom. Great thing is that regardless of their firewall, people will still be able to obtain information and get involved in crypto.  Smiley

Honestly, what's happening in China is very unfortunate, and in that country there is a total rejection of the cryptocurrencies era, despite that it is very successful and profitable  if recognized from the  governments. But why all these wrong  decisions?  blocked sites of crypto, banning...

On the other hand, I think there will be a solution for those problems or bad decisions in the near future, especially if the success of digital currencies and ICO will continue.
Hopefully that everything will change for better.

Op, for one to believe in what you said please you should have make an effort to provide your sources of this acclaimed information to help believe in your information and maybe make necessary preparation as it will have negative effect on of us that has crypto currency related business/investment in China.
As much as I know the OP is stating a fact because we all know in the first place that China does not want bitcoin at all, they don't care about this because they cannot control it so they made their own that they can call their own cryptocurrency.

Yeah, this is really possible and if China did this thing for sure cryptomarket will be affected but it will not die. This market does not depend on China, we still have European country to support for this growing technology. I believe China will regulate this thing instead of banning.
They knows what is best for their country, and if they think that this will gonna help them to promote their own coin, then there is nothing we can do about them, just let them for as long as in your country you are free to do bitcoin, but at the end of the day, China has a big impact when it comes to price.

It's all for now. We need to believe and be guided by documents and laws. And there are very few laws and other by-laws of China on the issue of regulating crypto-currency. The actions of the Chinese government with respect to the crypto currency are very controversial, therefore, not everything that Chinese officials say is then embodied in the adopted documents. I do not yet see the purposeful activity of the Chinese government in relation to the crypto-currency. They are still looking for their way to solving the issue with the crypto currency. They are not even in a hurry to implement their centralized national currency, as discussed earlier.

That's bad news in the last past weeks Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announce banning all crypto ads and ico in facebook and now China well pretty indeed crypto has many enemy.
It really is. No one wants promising projects to receive funding. I agree that there are a lot of scams in ICO. But does anyone believe that the government is interested in our money? Under the pretext of combating fraud, governments and large corporations want to prevent an alternative to Bank loans and new technologies. This is the main purpose of such prohibitions.

Certainly there had to be a point at which a central government within one of the countries that lead the world in terms of global economic influence and which has a vast international contribution to worldwide manufacturing, service and commercial business would take a firm and irrevocable stance on ICO and cryptocurrency entities.

I don't believe that news. Blocking sites will be very difficult. But make it difficult to participate in the ICO will be all government. This is the protection of domestic investment. Now there is a shortage of Finance for investment in the world. The natural desire of the government will be to direct the free money of citizens to the development of the domestic market.

Don't create FUD or panic in the market. People like you who don't understand market start making such rumors and some panic sellers start exiting the market.
There is nothing such happening in China against Cryptocurrency. Even Chinese govt. is supporting Mining manufacturing units so that they can easily export miners to various locations in the world.

there is no problem even if china block bitcoin . but this a fake news only bitcoin network not relay on china or any other countries bitcoin have great online presence .
so please don't worry about fake news just concentrate on your investment do not take any bold step its may leads huge loss

I believe also that this is just a fake news, this happens so many times this year and they succeed on bringing the price of bitcoin down now learn from this situation. Bitcoin are being spread world if China makes unclear statement or even other countries don’t put yourself on panic because there’s still have other countries that believes on the potential of cryptocurrency, so better not to focus on news like this unless its final.

yes it can happen because the Chinese government feels there will be money laundering, hacking, exploitation by illegal elements, and so on. If most of the future capital flows are dominated by bitcoin, the two countries' goal to do so is simple. The United States is accustomed to using the flow of dollars to control the world. The US wants to control not only specific calculations, exchange and development teams, but also the strength of bitcoin prices. Controlling the power of prices is equivalent to withholding calculators, bursa, and developers around the world because this role essentially runs the price.

as a decentralized system, cryptocurrency is very power full way to use intermediary payment method which we can use. lots of people use cryptocurrency because of weaknesses of banking system. but when we use this system to do transactions, there is a huge problem to government to collect taxes and fees. therefore, government try to prohibit this system. but, although they announce by creating laws, they cannot do it because this system is decentralized.

Can you link some source regarding on this news? on where china do already come into this state where they do impose more stricter about banning crypto and regulating some ICO. If it does then we cant do anything about it but would really see less adoption but yet its not still the actual reason on putting crypto into an end as long theres still people who do involve on these things dying isnt still possible on these days.

You can refer to the following links:

Indeed, such bad news has had a very bad impact on bitcoin price and cryptocurrency price. I lost half of my fortune in these days. Sad

Last year they ban Bitcoin and the ICO but they lifted the ban with the reason of regulation to ensure the safety of their people. Now they will ban it again for the same reason of regulating. I think security of the nation is not the real reason of this ban but to try to manipulate Bitcoin price so that they could control the price value of it in favor of their economy. No doubt they will lift the ban again if they failed to do so.

They never said about banning the Bitcoin in their country, they want to control the flow of their currency to other countries. They are really talking lot of steps to legalize cryptocurrency but we don't know until we get confirmation from their governments.

China is the one to blame when the bitcoin price crash before because they always say that it will be banned and then later on retract their statements. Later on, some people get over it but others do not wherein every time it says ban, bitcoin price still goes down until such time when South Korea and Japan claim its crypto market share from China so China do not have that impact anymore when it says ban. In fact, it maybe good to the crypto world that they don't want to be involve with Crypto anymore because as what others say, when something is block by China, it becomes more popular like Google and Facebook.

The manipulators now use South Korea and Japan instead in spreading FUD to make the price lower and of course, there would be an impact because they have huge market share but we can see that after some time bitcoin recovers. It is just sad that some Chinese would not be able to trade crypto anymore unless they go to other countries.

Any Confirmed Source of this information?
No I do not believe that china will ban crypto currencies and trading crypto or buying and selling crypto through the situated exchange. Chinese market is one of the pioneer market of crypto.

They are blocking the foreign exchanges, till now we didn't hear anything about the news whether they are banning the cryptocurrencies. I think people are spreading the negative news about China, really they are looking in to further that it should damage their economic growth.

Don't you worry, I'm sure that they are looking at bitcoin mining farms and then the whole crypto itself. Just a matter of time that it will happened. I don't fucking care about the Chinese now, they are a bunch of pussies spreading lies and trying to bring the market to its knees because they really hate crypto's.

Yes, they are very selfish, they only care about themselves and not their people. I'm sure a lot of Chinese resentment their government's decision but they can't do anything about it because they are under control. Actually everything is under control.

So the next time to hear something about China and crypto, I urge everyone to just ignore it and don't be affected.

No. It's impossible to figure out what's real and what not in a market where even the authorities aren't shy of playing the manipulation game. South Korea has been a perfect example of how even government officials can't be trusted.

Any Confirmed Source of this information?
No I do not believe that china will ban crypto currencies and trading crypto or buying and selling crypto through the situated exchange. Chinese market is one of the pioneer market of crypto.

Have you been living under a rock or what? Chinese exchanges were forced to shut down a good number of months ago, so that does in fact imply that China has been cracking down on everything related to all types of exchange based trading platforms and services. People after that reverted to their local markets in order to bypass these restrictions, and even to Hong Kong based exchanges. Currently China is trying to intensify their anti crypto regulations, which basically means that they (if we have to believe various unconfirmed sources) are looking to banish everything related to crypto in the coming months/years.
Manipulation game can really happen anytime since they are capable enough to do such thing which it is expected that they would really do such step that's why I don't have trust into each government. They can create fuds and false news to mainly affect cryptomarket which would really make some effects into its prices.

Maybe that dude above doesn't even read up on recent news on whats happening on cryptoworld or just a new person who do jump in to this field which is normal that he wont able to know recent and previous happenings as of now.
Through out the century, manipulating is not new in any genre and it can be use for the seek of advantage in area. The most powerful people are using this strategy to gain some sympathy of most people that doesn't have any idea what is really going on. Just like media, television, newspaper, and internet, these instrument that could send a message to everyone is their biggest tools. That's why we should be very vigilant and nosy at the same time, so we should know what is the real truth behind all of this lies that they fed to the people.

They can try to ban it. China is well known for their control. Nothing unusual. It's not just with crypto. Everything that is threatening to government it is well controlled.
Population control, Tibet, Hong Kong and many other examples. I think that is not realistic to see such a control in next 50 years with all this technology today.
North Korea is an extreme example, but that dark won't last forever. People will see the light some day.

No. It's impossible to figure out what's real and what not in a market where even the authorities aren't shy of playing the manipulation game. South Korea has been a perfect example of how even government officials can't be trusted.

They are blocking the foreign exchanges, till now we didn't hear anything about the news whether they are banning the cryptocurrencies. I think people are spreading the negative news about China, really they are looking in to further that it should damage their economic growth.

In the digital diary emol economy, i lost the link.

A news item on 5/2:
The recent acquisition of the Chinese company BTCC, one of the three largest Bitcoin exchange operators in the country, by a blockchain investment fund in Hong Kong is the latest example that confirms the Chinese authorities' willingness to put an end to the business of cryptocurrencies. After the purchase, the company will focus exclusively on the international market and abandon its business of exchanging virtual currencies in mainland China, where the Government continues its efforts to put an end to this business. China has so far been the leading location for the cryptocurrency exchange business and hosts the world's largest community of Bitcoin "miners", computers that update and approve bitcoin transactions through blocks that are linked to a chain of data. According to estimates of January of the British consultant Capital Economics, until recently, 70% of the Bitcoin mining in the world was done in the Asian giant. "Most of the Bitcoin trading was done in renminbi (the Chinese currency, also called yuan) until the government began to prevent it, now the proportion of mining that takes place in China has fallen to 50% and currencies which are used are the dollar, the euro, the yen and the South Korean won, "the firm says.

I believe china is a shit nation with their form of government. They are the nation which is always taking for granted every thing that they can possibly control and gain big. So what ever decision that they made by now is just a temporary action and will not last permanently. I do believe that their government is intentionally made such kind of decision just to get more from every business through internal agreement.

They are not totally greedy since they do know their own capability when it comes to money and i do strongly believe that this actions had been made is purely concerened on protecting its citizens and at the same time they dont like for their money or finances would really be putted into another indsutry this is why they do decide such blockage but one things assured on where no matter how they do oppose cryptomarket it will stood strong.
The Chinese government ONLY cares about itself, and not about what its people do. If they really cared about their people, even if it is just a little bit, they would allow everyone to enjoy far more freedom than is the case right now.

I'm living in a civilized country with at least a decent form of financial possibilities, which means that if I so wish, I can transfer all my wealth to another country without any problems.

Everything you say about China that it wants to protect its citizens, can basically be applied to any other country, which by your logic would somewhat justify banning everything they deem to be a potential threat.

Japan is a great example when it comes to exposing how bad China actually is when it comes to allowing its citizens to enjoy more overall freedom. The Chinese government knows that it's just a muppet show.

It's not for nothing that people want to park their wealth in a different country, think about that.
Well we have different perspective into anything but im just saying with just my pressumptions and i might be wrong with that view and yes you do have a point that a country shouldnt really be too strict into anything and such blockage wont be right to be implemented directly which they saw its already a threat for them. Government of china likes to control everything which is expected to have that kind of type of governance.

I don't know why news from China can not still be disregarded. The world can do without the input from China on bitcoin as it was shown when bitcoin was banned there last year. Where countries like Japan and Venezuela are embracing bitcoin, China is shorting its economy by distancing itself from the proceeds of the bitcoin economy. Whatever scares China with bitcoin is not far from the Chinese inability to control the bitcoin as against its local currency, Yuan. Communism truly sucks in modern economy.

I have been asking the same question myself. China is so 2017...it is about time we left this whole thing behind. We already are aware that the government will do everything in its power to stamp out cryptocurrency from China (though many are doubting if the government can be 100% successful in this regard as the modern Chinese are not anymore the stamp pad generations decades ago now they have their own minds already).

Now, we have to respect their government since it was their own decision that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies should not be allowed to survive and flourish in China. We have already proven that Bitcoin can all go and move on without China so this should not have value at all as far as the cryptocurrency market is concerned.

China is just too greedy country they don't want their country to have another source of income unless that they will imposed tax on it, and as a matter of fact they just want to have their own coin that can be bought worldwide. Anyway, I don't think that China can blocked all sites that are related to cryptocurrencies.

We should be expecting this whole thing to come in China as the government is really bent to stamp out any traces of cryptocurrency influence from the country. Now, it can be told the the only cryptocurrency that will happen in China is the one sponsored and issued by the government itself and nothing else. Soon, all Bitcoin mining operations have to ceased doing business in China and should relocate somewhere else. Now, anybody still dreaming that a government could never ban Bitcoin should wake up and realized this great truth: the government has all the power in itself to stop and even prosecute those involved in Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general. Bitcoin is actually an anti-government kind of thing so in the mindset of China why allowed it to flourish and become an uncontrollable thing?

Now the question is: Will this whole thing render Bitcoin to have no real and beautiful future? Or is there really a way to counteract the government and make it agree to allow Bitcoin?

i thinck no one can stope bitcoin BTC  and there is no way to stope that power on technologie  Cool

It is the ownership of the govt if they want to allow it or not. Though the technology of block chain can be used as well other than this coins so the denial for this govt to ban such currency is that it can be misfired in their economy as money could be send outside their country easily and to avoid such things they are banning the sites and ICO.

First Facebook, now China. This may be just another FUD in order to create some negativity for crypto or bitcoin. I don't think that this move would completely stamp out the domestic cryptocurrency market in China. There's still the presence of miners and crypto-users within the country will still continue to use crypto despite the numerous bans. It's fishy that news about bans have been sprouting about lately. It's likely that this has made the price of bitcoin to go down.
