Great idea - for (simplified) Chinese I have developed a unique system for review testing (mostly based upon Rosetta Stone level 1) that generates "random" flashcards. Using this approach I was able to learn over 100 words in just a couple of weeks (have been in China for over 5 years and prior to creating and using this software was unable to read much more than 20-30 characters).

If any of your Chinese teachers are interested to give my system a try let me know and I'll set up an account for them to play with it (usage is by private invitation only currently).

Our highest capital is the Confidence we build.
I know some language teachers in Mar del Plata. Maybe when the service is more developed I can organize something with them. They use to teach English and Spanish...

Interested in a Thai teacher signing up?

Right now I'm only focused on marketing Chinese, Japanese and Spanish, but I'll remember you, because later I plan to expand the service to an open peer-to-peer online language teaching/exchange service where teachers and students of any language can sign up.

I'm a little put down by the lack of interest from the community so far, as I really think this is a fantastic thing you can be spend your bitcoins on. I will strive to improve the website to hopefully increase enthusiasm for the product from here.

Also if anyones wants to work for us as a teacher of the languages we already support, or possibly Portuguese, please send me a PM here and we can talk more.

hmm, definitely interested in your chinese courses, I might do a trial after my exams.

Great to hear Smiley

I learned Chinese through daily private lessons when I lived in Beijing. Because private lessons are so effective, it only took me about 6 months to get from zero to fluent. Now that I'm back in my home country I believe people who aren't physically in China (or other countries) should get the same opportunity to study through private lessons without having to pay the crazy fees teachers that live here takes.

Hello everyone,

I would like to announce the opening up of the beta version of www.Langualink.com

We provide private (one on one) language lessons over skype videochat, for those who rapidly and flexibly wish to learn a new language. Currently we have native tutors of Chinese, Japanese and Spanish. The service is still in beta, and I'm opening it up to the BTC community because I know we embrace the entrepreneurial spirit here and aren't afraid to test out a new service. To top it off, I'm giving all who pay in bitcoins a 20% discount, making it possible to learn a new language in this highly effective manner for as little as the equivalent of 64 USD in bitcoins per month.

Don't let the wordpress of the website turn you off (it's a work in progress), our teaching system is innovative and very cost/time effective, and the teachers are all experienced, talented and all-round nice people!

I hope some respected members of the bitcoin community will take advantage of our offer of a FREE trial lesson (available to everyone) and then come here and share their experiences. Learning a new language through private lessons is really rewarding, fast and fun (don't believe studying a language could be fun? Then get a free test lesson with us!). It's also orders of magnitude faster, more flexible and better than any other type of language lessons. Really!

I would also appreciate comments on the website and service in general. I'm quite sure this kind of service for bitcoins is a first, and I think it can prove as a service where bitcoin really shines as the preferred method of payment.
