I'm thinking about getting some 3200W PSUs from Panto on Alibaba. I can't seem to really find anything negative about them online. I do have that 2400W PSU that BBT reviewed here though. Would anyone be able to take a look at some photos and tell me if it's anything I need to worry about in terms of quality?

I guess it appears to be two 1200w server PSUs hacked together.

Most of the branded Power supplies are now also manufactured in China too....

I believe its just the NAME..

Let me know your views.. if anyone using those Chinese OEM Power Supplies... they are using good quality capacitors etc..

The only proper response when faced with hardware of that level, even if free, is this:

Seriously, don't buy crap components when mining, especially a component that can take out your entire rig when it croaks on you.

Hey Friends

Has anyone used Chinese OEM Power Supplies...

They mentioned its 80+ Efficiency Platinum.

If anyone used it.. please share your experiences...

If you are referring to the ones listed on EBAY.STAY AWAY FROM THEM. I purchased 2 1600 watts  PSU vendor sent me 2 different models. 1 was DOA never powered on. 2nd PSU power up i connected a miner rated at 1000 watts which should be no problem for a PSU rated at 1600 watts......PSU dead in 1 hour and seller did not want to refund. I had to get ebay to refund me 100%. Use HP server PSU very reliable and work great these Chinese no name BTC specific PSU are total crap. If you very unlucky bad PSU can also destroy miner.

any link to those psu's ? or we don't know exactly what you are referring to:)
Chinese OEM PSU ?

That's right. 'Chinese OEM PSU' is too vague to make a determination. There are probably dozens of no name PSU's of varying quality being offered by hundreds of sellers. I would not place any faith in the fake 80+ rating. To get the legitimate certification costs money, which is one reason why brand name PSU's cost more. If you decide to go that route, I would stick with a large reseller with a good track record. BBT did a review on a Generic platinum 2400 W PSU that uses dual 110 V lines with 18 8-pin connectors for $90. He seemed to think it was an OK piece for the price.

no a good idea. china and no-name psu just calls for burning house.

I totally agree with your statement, it's not worth it saving a few dollars on a cheaper PSU.  Power supplies can cause serious damage to the rest of your mining rig/computer and even to your house.  I would purchase a name brand Gold or Platinum Power supply since those have been through rigorous testing and also comes with a good warranty.

80+ and Platinum Huh
it looks like bronze one.
IMHO you can find and buy good Gold power supply with decent price in China (on aliexpress for exmpl), but Platinum one will cost practicaly the same as on Amazon.
