It would def broaden the buyers experience with more options.. so I can only imagine how much easier it is for them to get btc.

but it should be already some what easy cause they have exchanges within china.? like huboi or whatever.

At the moment everyone is saying that the volume in China exchanges are fake. We shall see how's the volume looks like when circle starts its operation in China. This should give us a better understanding of the real situation.

That will be very interesting. If Circle is honest, it will be the smallest exchanges in term of volume in china.

there's almost no mention of bitcoin here. their operation itself won't have anything to do with bitcoin either. this is a pure fiat operation that may use bitcoin to transmit the money. nothing to see here.

How will this impact the price?

Will this enable more Chineese to buy into BTC?

It certainly can't be a bad thing, only good can come of this I presume. The general population of China is huge & still a largely untapped market.

This is a pretty big deal.

I wonder how the Chinese government will react.

If the volumes increase significantly, they will snuff it out like a bug.
They wouldn't want their tight capital controls to be by-passed.

Or they'll tax it out. BTCBTCBTC is big in China, so I suppose we'll see regulations involving btc there too in a few years.

I was expecting this.Chinese demand for btc has to be covered by a big player.

Not sure if the chinese government and bureucrasy will allow this.

This is good news anyway.

Ethereum is building big traction in china right now too. Rumor has it, Okchina will be adding the currency soon Shocked !!

The Ethereum alt coin is just a fad. People are passionate about it because they can mine it at home with graphics cards and earn some cash while it offers the highest profit of all the alt coins right now. After Ethereum switches to PoS or it becomes unprofitable people will just look around and go to the next pre-mined alt coin investing their cash in a pump and dump scheme until said alt coin is bone dry and everyone will move to the next. Rinse and repeat. Oh and by the way I think Vitalik has already started selling his ETH stash so do you think this fact inspires more trust in the system or it is just an elaborate pump and dump scheme?

I hope Circle can survive the tough regulatory environment in China. By expanding into China, things will get a lot more complex, for example the transferred of funds in/out will be tightly monitored. AWL rules/regulation will be different and culture is another killer....

The Chinese already have exchanges that they can manipulate, why would they want a foreign exchange that are being regulated? I think Circle are running away from countries where regulation are too strict and they want to operate in countries where the regulations are a bit more Bitcoin friendly. ^hmmmm^

this is a great news because it is adding to the ways people can buy bitcoin and using a trusted service like circle.com is also an easy way of doing it especially for new users.

but i don't think it will affect the price because Chinese already have other ways of buying and trading bitcoin this is only good for new people and would be an additional way of purchase.

I think the Chinese gov't is playing a double game on BTC. On the one hand, they don't want chinese retail to adopt BTC en masse and exit the Remnimbi. On the other hand, they want Chinese mining to remain integral to BTC so they have a degree of control over the tech.

Ethereum is only a shitcoin right now. It is not even decentralised and is obvious that is not a blockchain system. In this forum we talk only for blockchain systems....

As more services for buying bitcoins, easier for chines users to buy bitcoins. All services helps to increase its base of users, and its price.
