1. MEW + Metamask is still the best way to store and access your coins.
2. No sure about the forks. I thought that forks should be distributed automatically and you don't have to claim them.
3. You can see all your coins using ethplorer.io or etherscan.io. If you need to access them from MEW, then you should add them manually using contract address.

Hi All,

I have my JSON file corresponding to ETH wallet however I have not opened this wallet for more than 2 years now. I wanted to know the following:

1. The best possible wallet to use to access the ETH coins from the JSON file? Is MyEtherWallet still a good choice? Per my understanding, they would need my private key to be able to access the coins. So, does it mean MyEtherWallet will store my private key?

2. There have been several hard forks in the past 2 years related to ETH and ETC. Can I still claim those coins using MyEtherWallet?

3. How can I access those airdrop coins? I understand that several blockchain projects have decided to airdrop coins to ETH holders. So, how can I get access to them?

Thanks.
