That's the good thing in crypto. It revolutionize the traditional concept of banking transaction were We are oblige to pay for hefty transaction fees. Just imagine how much We pay for transferring money from other country. Cryptoworld revolutionize this by transferring money at zero to lower amount if any.

crypto will not replace banks in the near future. simply too many people out there who are not savvy enough to understand crypto. Sure it might put a dent in their business, but definitely not to the point of making them go out of business.

What you did is like an asking an idea about email from a postman. Lol. They will just make fun of you because they only knew nothing about crypto. Aside from that, they are working on an establishment which is the mortal enemy of blockchain. Haha.

I don't think crypto will take over banks ever because some people are just too stupid to be their own bank.

So the war between bank and crypto just got started. We are just lucky here in the Philippines because our government supports the crypto currency. all they want is to regulate the deposit and withdrawal into fiat. Sooner or later a regulation for crypto will be established. maybe by end of this year

I think there is no way to avoid regulation, however, I think that when the technology hits a certain point then regulation won't matter or will have very little impact. Once everything becomes decentralized it's game over.  It all depends on how soon we hit the decentralized singularity.

So I just completed a wire transfer for something unrelated to crypto.

As we were sitting there waiting for the transfer I jokingly asked the lady helping me if she was worried that she would lose her job when crypto puts the bank out of business.

She had no idea what I was talking about and I very briefly explained to her the ease of moving money, low fees, and smart contracts.

I wish I had taped her response.

Banker: "Well Sir, I do not think the bank would allow you to transfer YOUR money like that"

Well honey, thats the point!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Banking System owns the governments...Therefore, it owns the world. It has been around for so long that it has controlled and manipulated almost anyone and anything on the planet (Thanks to the Rothschilds!) It has become an institution that funds wars and all other activities for their own gain. This is why they are so afraid that one of these days they may seize to exist due to the growth and popularity of crypto. One can assume that they are coming up with some kind of plot to destroy the crypto system. Let’s just pray that this would not materialize.

Banks hate cryptos and that's true. Look at how so many central banks in various countries are banning the crypto currency as payment. But the point that already showed from your conversation said about the ability of bank to manage your money and the bank be able to make a restriction even for your money. And that's why we need crypto in this time.

Thats why the bankers started to do something against the cryptocurrencies,in my country the bankers has started to closed some accounts that has transactions related to cryptocurrencies and they closed it without any warnings,a typical bank wont allow any cryptocurrencies because of the decentralized system which contradicts their fiat/bank system.Today if you go here in most of the banks you will be asked if you know what bitcoin is  if you answered yes and you if they see your account's transaction with cryptocurrency they will surely close your account as soon as possible.

Haa, bless the poor woman. It's inevitable that banks will come under pressure from crypto, especially for things like wire transfers, they're becoming outdated and useless. Banks like everything will have to evolve or risk being left behind.

They think they can tell me what to do with MY money and that I own them something.
Not anymore! I'm doing more and more of my transaction and work with cryptos. One day they will be vanished!
