It could be a million of things here. Dont want the hassle? dont mine, issues will happen time to time. One day I went to troubleshot my friends miner pc, after 10 days i found out what it was, after had tried almost a million of things ehhe, no joking. I only continued the bs because i wanted really to know what the hell was going on, in the end found out his ddr4 memory was the issue. That is the last thing miners look into and I was no different, many people would think it would be the gpu or miner, so like i said before it could be a million of things. Even leaving all at stock is no guarantee it will work without problems, gpu was never intended for mining.

Since he only has 2 GPUs in the rig I am assuming this is a gaming rig and he doesn't use risers.

I think his issue is that this is not a dedicated mining rig but also a personal computer and he probably uses it from time to time. I've had issues with random crashes before this way.

Only way to fix it was really to either use the Onboard VGA for your display and don't plug anything into the HDMI ports except maybe a dummy cable. Or he would need to up the voltages and reduce the core clock and memory clock.

When you browse the web, there is activity on the GPU and it usually interferes with mining and causes it to crash. Basically keep 1 GPU almost stock and you can use the other one with the overclocked settings. But the GPU in device 0, the x16 3.0 slots needs to be run at near stock settings or it will crash.

Do you have spare PCIe risers?

Replace them and make sure the problem persists, often faulty risers can be the source of the problem.

Does the screen suddenly go off and/or flicker when this happens? Considering that Claymore isn't really giving out an error it might be your GPU drivers panicking out and halting. AMD drivers are fairly hectic on Windows (well, on any platform) try to revert to an older version if it had worked for you then, if not. Try to update your drivers to the latest version. Kill all overclock if possible and test it that way. If it runs more than 24h (according to your post) then you can incrementally overclock it back.

Sounds like card that hangs. Wont just be Claymore. Try stock clocks on memory and see if still persist.

1150 Core Clock
2000 Memory Clock

I wrote about the fact Claymore freezes so no blue screen or restart.
When it freezes you see the the command lines and time. But it doenst do anything anymore.
When I close the bat file and restart everything works fine again.

Specs:

2x RX570 4GB (Anorok modded)
Windows 10
Claymore 15.0

Radeon Software 19.10.1

Bat File command (attached with my own eth adress and email ofcourse):

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eth-eu1.nanopool.org:9999 -ewal ethadress/workernamer/myemail -epsw x -mode 1 -ftime 5 -wd 1 -r 720 -minspeed 35 -tstop 65 -tstart 45

Problem:

Claymore freezes at random times.
Sometimes it mines for more than 24 hours and sometimes it freezes after 6 hours of mining.

Any thoughts, help would be great Cheesy
