There are time limitations for posting and searching in the forum.  I believe even logging on counts as an action, thats why you cannot post or search immediately after logging in.   As you become a more established member these limitations become much less restrictive.

I would recommend using google to search the forum by appending site:bitcointalk.org to your search.

I have reproduced the You are searching too quickly problem.

I logged out of this forum from the Opera browser, waited over 90 seconds, then logged in under Firefox (from which I had cleared all cookies and all history). I then made one search, and the site reports: "You are searching too quickly ..."

In a list of search results that spans more than one page, when I click the second page (number 2), this forum site

You are searching too quickly. ...

I also noticed the site makes the same report when I freshly login to the forum and make one search.

I am using Opera 12.16 on Vista. Normally I use an up to date Firefox but some of the forum's links are missing there (the Home, Help, Search, etc), meaning I cannot logout there (I resort to clearing all cookies and all history).
