it won't let me delete my own thread, and if you read my post I was saying that I am sure I can find something of value that someone would want etc but delete it no worries I don't care

You can edit OP and add "[Closed]" at the beginning. Then lock the thread using the link at the bottom left. Of course I can't delete it regardless of whether you care or not.

"I can find something of value" is not valid collateral. My warning remains.

You probably should have checked up on proper posting etiquette for this section of the forum, because we very frequently get similar stories that are scammers trying to scrape the ground for dust and dirt to stuff their pockets with.

I hope you figure out your car troubles, but the off-topic section is always a good place to vent/BS.

P.S. You can lock it at the bottom left hand side of this page.

Read this: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/edu-the-rule-of-no-collateral-no-loan-ignore-at-your-own-risk-577765
If you don't either offer valid collateral worth more than the loan plus interest or close your thread you will receive negative feedback in a few minutes.
Also asking for donations / begging for money is forbidden.

So if anyone is willing to help I would appreciate it.  I am sure I can find something or another to sell or that someone would be interested in Sad

after looking into it a little bit, I found that I missed out on a bluetooth class action lawsuit for my car, but from what I am seeing about the scandal and scam it is only regarding diesel models which I don't have

I hope it is a little lession for you, always have an eye about news of the car you own so you can have some little surprises from it

I don't watch TV, I stream everything.  I am from the USA, and when it comes to the repairs I am just going by what the dealership told me was wrong with it.  My dad is friends with the owner of the dealership and they have never screwed us over in the past so we believed what they told us.  I am not a big car guy but all I know is when I was accelerating it was scary how bad it would start to shake

Anyway if possible try to talk about your dealership about if your Jetta is a model involved in the VW scandal, maybe with some tricks that he could know maybe will reduce the total cost, and anyway asking for 4800$ is pretty strong because even of your rank... maybe this will get ignored for a while or maybe somebody with a brave heart could give you the money you asked for.

the engine didn't physically explode, anytime I tried to accelerate the car would start to shake, when I tried to go over 55mph the car would shake violently.  What is the VW Scandal you are talking about?

From what I remember the guy telling me, as it has been 15 days now, is timing belt, serpentine belt, some valve etc

Also why can't i post sooner then every 360 seconds or whatever the time is.  It really makes replying hard lol

1. How you can't know about the VW scandal? It hit the news for days! May i know from where are you?
2. This problem at 55mph happened even before the explosion or just now started?
3. I'm not a mech but if you say that the car shake could it be that isn't only the engine the problem?

I have a 2010 VW Jetta limited edition.  In order to fix everything they had to send the entire engine out to a machine shop and they have had my car at the shop now for 15 days.  I am a pizza delivery driver while trying to get into a career in sales or computers.  I have put 55k miles on the car in the last 7 months

You already checked if your Jetta isn't involved in the VW scandal? If is maybe part of the total could be partialy paid from VW, and 88513.92 kilometers sounds crazy even with the job you say to have, anyway are you sure that the car didn't showed anything strange before it exploded?

And anyway why so few details about? A 4800$ bill for repair the engine sounds like you have a ferrari or something similar and are you sure you didn't checked for other places to see if the price is always the same?
