Sorry by fault i'm in the UK anyone know what it would be here

Thanks for your reply southerngentuk

I'm in the U.k and recently bought one from Bitmaintech.com. The declared value on the UPS paperwork was $120 and I had to pay £35.98 to the UPS delivery Guy in cash. They don't accept anything else at the door. Also for your info, they are listed as Computer Game Gateway incase UPS or Customs ask what it is.

Hope this helps

Off topic. Does anyone know how much duty vat etc i will have to pay if i order and antminer S1 from Bitmain

Thanks in advance

Someone posted that the cost declaration on the customs form was about 250 US I believe, so depending on your country ?

Australia is free for under $1000 AU, you will need to check on your own or post your residence.

Hi Guys,

Just to confirm few things here, I had a chat with bitmain and what we come up with is I am only authorized to sell it for Australia and India and that too with a margin, He doesnt want to open a competition here within the resellers. All was my fault and I apologies for any inconvenience taken. For now I am only taking Orders for Australia and India. So this GB is stopped here and I wish all the very best to sushi and team, hope everyone will forgive my mistake.

Lots of people asked about its chinese new year and how come I been contact with them, so makes me litte nervous so just to confirm www.bitmaintech.com is the bitmain original website right?

I THINK Bitmain might adjust the price due to the diff. My thoughts only, do not quote me.
The 0.1BTC doesn't really matters when sushi + me + alexeyK's group buy starts again.

Yeah. Patience is tough, by the time Coinbase processes a purchase I will have enough mined to purchase at these levels right around the shipping date anyways. I guess it boils down to shipping times after the holiday ends. I'll be paying close attention to this one, already have a new PSU on the way so I can shuffle some existing gear around...

On your post is it smarter to increase GH/s power or hold on to coin? I'm at 200GHS averaging .05BTC a day and will have enough BTC to buy on the 7th but It will take all I have mined from me is that a good choice?

I'm almost in the same exact spot as you; hash speed, revenue, balance... Guess it depends on our outlook on difficulty level increases and promised deliveries of the next best thing. Current use of anything is always measured by the second best alternative, profits are the reward for those who identify the opportunity gap. Looks like we both have a few days to think about it. My other decision is to buy another cube first, which is significantly cheaper and would make use of an available PSU immediately, along with the fact I know how to set those up. That could give me reason to wait for the next drop as these Antminers are coming down rather fast, seems there must be a surplus... Fwiw so far I think buying gear on group buys is working out to outpace difficulty projections, but the margins are thin, short term without much action in BTC value, and there's a limit to how many more things I can plug in the wall or run on my network, trying to avoid hitting that limit...

OP: let me know if this is stilling going on, otherwise I will just place an order from Bitmain.

Seems like the savings here is rather small... I mean, I can order right now through bitmain, and probably will, for 0.1 BTC I don't see the upside associated with going through someone.

It is dead easy to prove that Bitmain is supporting this group buy get him to reply to the thread stating he is supporting it just like he does for Sushi

+1

+1 also in your model people are still giving you their addresses and waiting for you to refund their 0.1

+1

If you can get Bitmain to confirm this then you will get buyers.

That being said, if I buy now I only get it for 1.25 using my coupon.
If I wait till Feb08 I get it much cheaper.

I think I will wait Wink

The current coupon is 0.02BTC, not the old coupon of 0.2BTC.

So, we order through the regular bitmain website and hopefully we get a 0.1BTC rebate. Why does this bother people so much (excluding other GB organizers, I understand why this bothers you)? It sounds like the worst case scenario is you pay the 1.45 and get a S1.

I was about to order one anyway, how quickly can I get the 0.1BTC rebate? Proof for others here would go along way and we all benefit from lower prices.

I am sorry but I don't understand what you mean....

First I have the old coupon Wink

Secondly, what I said is that if this guy can get Bitmain to confirm this he will have a lot of buyers.
That however does not include me since I can get it cheaper.

Thats all Smiley

How many units you have to buy to get a discount?

The OP never bought any units. He has posted here, in the hope that he will get enough group buyers to allow him to approach bitmain with an offer.

No seriously, how did you do that?

I'm spamming them for days, because I wanted to buy large quantity of miners for myself and they haven't replied to even one of my mails...

Well I was the lucky one, I have got offers from many other companies, but my financial situations where a bit different on that time, this time i took a different approach. I still chat with some of the Asic company CEO's regarding product updates etc but cant believe what most of these asic companies are saying.

PS: So you are the guy who is spamming them which makes disappear our important mails Smiley

The last time I contacted Bitmain 1-2 weeks ago they said that sushi was the only person who they would give a discount so that he could organise a forum groupbuy. Please get Bitmain to post.

Thanks beastlymac. I asked them for a reseller ship for Australia and India , not for a group forum buy, so I can't comment on this until bitmain post something, looks like I shouldve post this after I took permission from bitmain, I never thought it was such a big deal.
No offense but from my experience anyone smart enough can get a discount from almost any company but what if the company doesnt want to make it public. May be sushi is the only person allowed to do the forum group buy, Sorry guys, I guess we will just wait for bitmain to make some comments.

Anyway I am sending an email to bitmain, asking to confirm things.

I would certainly welcome another Au re-seller, were a bit short here.

But

Its scam a day here at the moment, some verification needs to be done. If bitmain confirms this it would be great.

You can also get your ID confirmed by some more respected members here. Maybe have a chat with Beastlymac, he is in Aus I believe.
I am happy to have a chat with beastlymac and if he is from melbourne then can meet in person as well. I dont know who he is yet, but it wouldnt be difficult for him to pm me

Yes, thats right, so it will be totally upto me to send that 0.1btc to or not, but mate this is not the end of the world and I dont wanna spoil my name for 0.1btc, all the people ordering through me have my personel email and it will be dead easy to find my linkedin, facebook profiles, where I live etc.

"you are just trying to drop-ship antminers?"

He pretty much explicitly said that's what he is doing (without using those words).

There wouldn't be anything wrong with that except that there isn't any way given to verify that these orders actually exist and that the BTC address provided is really owned by Bitmain. If he can clear up those issues then this might be a legit deal.

but why say firstly, only Australia, then open it up to the world. conflicting idealisms depict an uncertain OP
and... to list halfway thru chinese new year, when OP knows all other orders (BTC1.9) will be on hold

First I thought I do a group buy just for australia just for my contacts here, then I found out I can make order for anyplace as they offer worldwide shipping, payment is in BTC, i dont need to touch anyone's cash. Also order and shipping address is in the buyers name, buyer makes direct payment etc. I just made a deal with them a day before and by this time I learned a lot thats how I come up with the idea of having it for worldwide, you need to understand a starter makes some mistakes in first place then he learn and correct it.

I dont know the previous 1.95BTc (GB price is 1.90BTC) is still on hold, this is the first time I am dealing with bitmain and putting a big order for myself, so if they dont ship it in time it will affect me the same way its affects you.

I know even if I put some evidence here, still there will be someone questioning me on more details. I just edited my real name here, dont think the idea of making it public, you guys can still find me through my ebay store though Smiley . I have my own IT company as well, so initially I contacted them for reselling items through my company website. I have been in contacts with different Asic companies, as I am trying to setup a reseller ship for Australian customers. I can confirm some of the Company CEO's names as well, I am sure some one here can verify that.

why post a group buy twice?

Hi Guys,

I have been in contact with bitmine for their new Antminer S1. They agreed to give a discount if I order in bulk. So I thought post here and if anyone interested can join with me and get the discount. I know there is lots of group buys happening here. I dont want to write a whole lot of test explaining things. Any interested parties can pm me and I will pass my contact number, we will then talk there and take it from there. The discount is close to 0.1btc from the original price, some added benefit included like avoiding import duty etc which finally gives a good discount all together. For details PM me, I have a few guys already interested through my contacts in other places. I am located in Victoria, happy to meet in person as well if anyone wants to share a coffee and chat about cryptos.

Cheers

NOT TRUSTING THIS ONE

I thought this is the right place for a group buy, so started a thread here, and closing the other one. I have specified that in the other thread already before starting this.
Trust: Its a two way thing, no one can make you trust on something if you decided not to trust it in the first place.
Please leave this argument here, I am trying to help other fellows and by doing that(getting more orders) I will get my units in the discounted price as well.
