Well, I have some concerns over this. It could have been a really good deal but I do not want to take any risks.
I have a dozen VPS running through Vultr for various purpose but if the purchased account gets void or banned for any reason, I will suffer a major loss.
So, it's a hard pass for me.

If it is prize money they it is promotional money. That is what Docnaster asked I think.
Some cheaters use carding or stolen cards to get credits, which don't get detected right away and then they sell them cheap. Only weeks later the end user faces scrutiny as money gets charged back.
Also it is nice that you are trying to close deal through PM and email but I suggest everyone to use escrow. Otherwise it is big risk
