Yeah but you are setup very well and trying to earn a fee so I'm sure yours is great too.

True, most aren't reliable I think. I'm running it 24/7 and on AWS. Some of those pools may disappear, mine won't.
I don't see why most wouldn't be reliable. Mine is, won't disappear anytime soon and even automatically maintains itself by updating to the latest p2pool version every day (see sig) so that it won't be denied access to the network in case of protocol changes (becoming a solo node).

No. You don't want to open port 9332 unless you want to make it public like me. Its recommended to open 9333 to get incoming connections but it still works with only outgoing. Try mine out while you get yours setup.

I've only made 100 NMC so far so I'm not making anything with this but it's fun and I like the community and supporting P2Pool.

Think. Positive. Thoughts.
Doesn't p2p require port forwarding through the router? This is a potential workaround while growing p2p..

no way, getting bitcoind and p2pool is hard for someone coming from guiminer
There are loads of tutorials and multiple threads on how to set it up along with loads of users who have pools to help.
You are starting to sound like you're scaring people away. :\

Pain in the ass to setup/run/maintain bitcoind and p2pool when they are used to just putting in a pool url. Plus they would need to make sure their bitcoind and p2pool maintain good p2p connections or mining will slow or stop when blocks change.

its extremely easy to setup quit tryin to scare people away!

You should update your p2pool, you don't have the new /static/ charts.

Thank you to everyone supporting P2Pool/using my node.
Please post your experience here so I can have an idea who's using mine, as for right now, I have no clue.

I like this idea, along with the other servers, but if anyone can point their miner at this node, then they can run their own node and the fee is still... 0%.

What distinguishes this p2pool node from all the other P2Pool nodes that also offer 0% or <1% fees?

There's already a thread for that Tongue
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/p2pool-server-list-66182

(not having a go at you here, just don't want to have everyone who sets up a p2pool node starting threads about them if they're all pretty much identical  Wink )
