Interest payments were made electronically (redeposited) but not actually sent out.  AFAIK, we'll continue to accrue interest until we're actually paid out.
So if he never pays out, we'll get infinitely rich! Yay!

I'll just leave this here.....
FYI, here is my interpretation.

Since the existing ToS includes the provision for pirate's ability to change interest rates "with notice", this latest change in interest rates does not violate the terms of the bet contract, even though it did not itself have a 30 day notice. The term "interest rates" was only used as an example of terms that may change in ToS; the list of examples was not intended to be either exhaustive or necessarily-inclusive. The point of the ToS changes section and advance notice thereof, was to make sure that users are given ample notice for any unexpected material changes.

For your easy reference, link to bet contract:

Is this new rate starting immediately or within 30 days?

If it's less than 30 days it could mean that Pirate loses his bet with Vandroiy.

I just went and read thru it.. I think you might be right..

It's not mentioned on the public thread, and somehow I don't suspect Pirate maintains a secret higher-interest section.

7%... now 5%
Was the 7% tier eliminated completely, or did Pirate just raise the eligibility threshold?

Gone completely AFAIK

I'm hopping on the imsaguy sub-account train. So far working with him has been very quick and responsive. But don't trust me, look at his WOT ratings!

Thank you! You're too kind. Smiley

If you want in now, I can handle you.  You just won't have access to the subaccount website until midmonth when Pirate makes it available.  PM for a deposit address.

How will you handle it if the balance is not stable?

Will you give up the .5% bonus or force withdrawals?

I'd give up the .5% bonus.

The .5% bonus is the profit for him, so I don't see why he would have to force withdrawals.  Plus, withdrawals will only make it more unstable.  XD

Oh so your helping hold up the Ponzi. That's great!

Please take this elsewhere.  This thread isn't a debate on the validity of pirate's operation.

"validity of pirate's operation."
Oh right, how irrelevant. Apologies.

This thread is for people interested in a pirate pass through.  There are plenty of other threads for you to debate the validity.

Here's the quick and dirty, as suggested:

Deposit Level: 1k+
Interest Rate: 7%
Withdrawls Processed:  Negotiable, preferably monthly
Interest Paid: weekly
Deposits Accepted: Negotiable, preferably monthly
Compounding: allowed
Compounding Period: weekly
Insurance Coverage: Negotiable

I'll lend @ 10%/week to those who are short the 1kbtc minimum.

Doing the math, assuming you send me the first weekly payouts, you should recover your debt quickly.

I'm currently thinking of 100btc max per borrower, which you would be able to pay off with the first interest payment and part of the second.  I will charge weekly interest or slightly higher (2%?) per day, compounded daily based on principal minus any payments.  The daily rate will save you money if you have other sources of income or need a float for a day or two to get in, but cost you more over the long term (approx. 14.9%/week).

I will pay directly to imsaguy and we will confirm all contracts, expectations, and transactions with PGP/GPG.

Great idea!

If you get too much demand and need extra bankroll hit me up.

That's right.. you can earn a full 7%/week on your coins.  Minimum investment is 1k coins for a period of 1 month.  If you're interested, send me a pm so we can coordinate the transition.

So withdraws are monthly?  Or only locked for the first month?

What about interest payments?  Weekly?  Or are you compounding and that's how you make money paying out 7%?

Is pirate going to have a way to just move coin from a retail account to a trust account?  Or would I have to withdraw, send to you, then you to him?

He makes 7% on his coins, but needs yours to get that rate at BST.  It is a pure pass-through.

Unfortunately it's more complicated than that.

I currently get weekly interest payouts from pirate.  I like that.  Pirate allows withdraws pretty much any time, I like that too.

If I want to continue receiving the 7% rate, I will have to go through guys with trust accounts big enough to get that rate.  The account provider is going to add extra t+c's.

I am asking to know the rest of imsaguy's t+c's.

Perhaps we could come up with a standard format for all the trust providers to disclose their terms.  e.g.

Deposit Level: 1k+
Interest Rate: 7%
Withdrawls Processed: monthly
Interest Paid: ?? (weekly | monthly?)
Deposits Accepted: ?? (daily | weekly | monthly | continuously)
Compounding: ?? (allowed | not allowed | mandatory)
Compounding Period: ?? (weekly | monthly | na)
Insurance Coverage: ?? (none | xx% | 100% )

Interest payments are just how they are now.. they happen on Mondays.  You can either take the interest or reinvest it.   I'd like to coordinate withdraws with deposits as best as I can.  Its possible for me to get a .5% bonus if I can keep my balance somewhat stable over the course of the month.

This is accurate.  Its a pure passthrough and if I can keep the balance stable, I get the .5% bonus.

Waiting on the payout from pirate and then I'll disperse the funds.  If you've not given me a payout address yet, please pm it to me.

I am one of the few with a Trust Account.  As a result, I'm going to do what no other passthrough is doing:

I'll give you the full 7% beginning now.

Starting next dividend period, the new max rate from BTCST will be 5%.  As a result, I will be lowering interest rates accordingly.

If you're interested, send me a pm so we can coordinate the transition.

Edit:

Here's the quick and dirty, as suggested:

Deposit Level: 1k+
Interest Rate: 7%
Withdrawls Processed:  Negotiable, preferably monthly
Interest Paid: weekly
Deposits Accepted: Negotiable, preferably monthly
Compounding: allowed
Compounding Period: weekly
Insurance Coverage: Negotiable  This really is hard to price.  I'd suggest you research one of the other offerings if you're concerned about that.
