sadly, if we sell or dont sell, this GB is a loss.
anyway, i go with whatever the gb will vote.

thanks

edit: Requesting for Poll. .50btc mined - est. .20btc hosting = sell. if we keep doing this, we wil
not gain anything. roi will be never years. please act on this people. thank you

EDIT: GBmates, please! let us vote forthis GB.

rationale: hosting fee is 135usd less 25% is 101usd (est at .20btc at 50usd per btc). we mine .50 btc per payput. so less hosting fee toget .30btc or .005/6 per share. thus, we look like clowns here as it will take infitiy to roi.

now if we sell this thing, lets say .90 per ant, 2 ants will be 1.8 or .036 per share. we may lessen our losses.

we either cut our loss. or we go for the long ride which will end up losing as well.

anyway, whatever you guys decide is the result of a
democratic thing. Good luck to us.

We can sell each machine for 1.01 BTC. The total would be 2.02BTC for this GB.

Awesome!

I do have one question though.

At http://www.dzminercoop.com/?page_id=1491, it shows that Round 21 earned 1.35 bitcoins, but on the spreadsheet at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0ArdD1NXRwJNSdGtLY0dZUDVqZUNaZ1VHajRPY1RGUFE&usp=sharing#gid=0, it shows only 1.0 bitcoins.  Why the discrepancy?

That said, keep up the great work!
Only what the pool sends to the address is actually distributed on payout day, meaning if it isn't divisible by 0.5 BTC it won't go into this payout.

That makes sense.  So the extra 0.35 will be saved for the next distribution date then, correct?
Yep or if the pool is really lucky and gets it up to 0.5 before the payout happens (I leave the office)

Updates really quick:

We have now moved from our 2k facility, to a brand new 7k facility.

Reasons for delays in getting hash rate up:
-No power till wednesday, due to storms and holiday
-New facility STILL does not have internet, have been using 4G LTE backup until ISP finishes install
-One of the existing breaker boxes in the facility blew completely the first night, electricians are now replacing and massively upgrading the power and cooling here as I type this
-Delays in parts, the storms + 2 holidays caused ~50% of my parts for setup to be delayed, massively increasing my time needed to get things up and running
- Half of the jupiters stopped working from unplug-repluf in 14 hours later. Every single Antminer I have, as well as the avalons and BF had no problems, but I now have ~8 jupiters to diagnose.

As of now, R21 is running at full speed.

I am very sorry for all of this lost hash rate, but I have done everything within my limited power to get this stuff up and running ASAP. I still don't have a bed, or internet at my apartment, so even communication has been difficult.

Also if I get one more fucking 502 error while trying to post ill kill something.

I bought a share in this, looking forward to it getting up and running! It's my first buy with DZ.

I see the price went down for R22 and I'm debating buying into there too - Is the hardware in stock/OTW already too?
R22 will have about 1 week delay.
And hope no 21/22 round will be.

Btw, any news for 21? Its thirth day after promised sunday. Do you wait for sushi's group buy - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/pre-ship-again-sold-out-group-buy-5-315-btc-bitmain-antminer-180gh-300-units-383486
DZ posted saying there would be another delay I was told that it should be up today but it was a long night for me yesterday so until I get caught up not sure.

Gals/Guys: There was an additional 2 day hold up to the move to the new facility. We've been moving fast, but there was some contractor work for the building to deal before it would be ready for us. R21 is absolutely, definitely going to up tomorrow and will be the first miners that come up when Miner Hosting LLC.

We're moving into Facility #2 *right now* and the team should be on-site in the morning/midday tomorrow.

To compensate you for the additional 48 hour delay, everyone that purchased in R21 will now get 75% off the first month's hosting, as bobsag3's Miner Hosting LLC's compensation for the additional delay in start time.

Thank you for your patience. The great news is that besides having a bigger, better facility, we will have 24/7 miner hosting support from professional support staff of miners and IT experts that care about your miners.

We set up facility #2 with a 500Mbps primary link and a 25Mbps wireless link for redundancy. Because: Lost packets = lost shares = lost BTC.

Hi! I know i sound like a broken recorder, but i want to ask how'd i know if this GB is hashing already(since this is my first time to experience hashing with a GB as this miner has shipped ahead of HashFk'd* The Ninja Miner)

when hashing, is there a website to monitor hashing power?

other question: is DZ MC going to mine alt coins simultaneously like CEX.IO (i.e. ixc, dvc, nmc)?

thanks. Adv. happy 2014.

just reply with your payout address! (curtsey of thomas_s)

Bad side is shares that were oversold will be refunded (no fee), orders that had multiple items paid for at the same time (as I am unable to do the math for the division of shares let alone a change in price) will be canceled and refunded (no fee), removal from the Q of the other rounds is required for this and a new order will need to be placed per round you want to rejoin.
hmm ...
When will this take place? (& how will this be displayed in the site?)
Later today, a note will be placed on all orders affected, if a payout address was provided the refund will be issued directly to it while giving a note on the order as to why

R21 seems to be oversold a new round will be opened at a different price starting ~1 week later.

There is no way to change this so don't open a ticket, send an email or post saying you want me to do something else it has been posted before to only order 1 of each item per order.

No offense, but I don't think you're taking into account:

I'm not criticizing the pricing or value at all (I have quite a few shares in multiple DZ group buys so I obviously think the value is there), just pointing out that these individually use much less power than industrial class machines like Jupiter or the upcoming Prospero X-3.

I'm seeing fluctuating power draw between 725 W and 730 W (not overclocked). This is at 120 V; at 240 V the power usage would likely be slightly lower.

Since its 2 rigs, it uses twice the electricity so the fee would be $275 per month each miner. We just group 2 Antminers together as a subround to get a usable hashrate that's Industrial Class sized, and for accounting purposes.

They theoretically only use <400 W each (non-overclocked) which isn't anywhere near what the industrial class rigs use. Two of them together being one "rig" makes more sense. I have a Kill-a-Watt so I can get an exact measurement of my two Ant miners (which are on one 80+ Gold power supply) if that helps.

I have no control of the pricing on the miner hosting, although I do make suggestions from time to time.

I'm just the messenger on this. No offense, but I don't think you're taking into account:

- all electrical costs associated with a world class hosting facility
- cooling (we always add extra AC above and beyond the normal)
- overclocking (which uses more electricity)
- dual network costs (including a 500Mbps and 4G LTE wireless backup because lost packets = lost BTC)
- Estimated 20 min Server Grade UPS/Battery banks with gas generators for longer outages
- business insurance
- business permits/licenses
- employee wages to have a 6 member 24/7 pro miner support team
- Also: 5 IT experts/veteran miners that actually gives a crap about the miners they're hosting.

You *could* just plug it into a wall somewhere and run it and troubleshoot it yourself, but that is nowhere near a fair comparison to the all in one miner hosting service that we're offering, and is an apples to oranges comparison.

To be brutally honest as a pro IT Network Engineer, quotes for a Baby Jet type miner to be hosted at typical pro datacenters ran in the $1.5-2K per month price range for comparable (or even lesser) services. No joke. I should know because I already did the legwork during R1 when I was still a noob GBC. Feel free to solicit your own quotes if you don't believe me. Smiley  Cheesy

I say lesser service in most cases, because their focus at a pro server colocation facility is *not* miners and they would be lost if they had to locally troubleshoot a miner without mfg. support. You can't always fix a miner remotely, and having a "lost" miner support team is no bueno, when time is dinero.

Just to be clear, is two Antminers with a total 360 GH/s one rig or two? What does the $275 fee
apply to in this case? The .5% is pretty obvious and just scales with results. It would seem that
since the 50 shares are distributed across two boxes, the two boxes constitute "one rig", but you
could look at either way and make sense.

From OP: "We're collecting funds for two (2) Antminers for a combined hashrate of about 360 GH/s."

We may be able to overclock them to 400 GH/s total, but we'll have to vote to void the warranty to get extra hashrate at extra risk.

Since its 2 rigs, it uses twice the electricity so the fee would be $275 per month for each miner or $550 monthly total per subround. We just group 2 Antminers together as a subround to get a usable hashrate that's Industrial Class sized, and for accounting purposes.

Hi mboehler,

I have some good news/bad news to deliver regarding R21x:

Good: This hardware is enroute
Bad: However, this equipment won't be set up until Sunday. Miner Hosting LLC, our primary host company just finalized paperwork for our facility #2. a 6000+ square foot warehouse designed and staffed just for crypto miners, so that we can serve you better and offer room for future expansion.

Good: Because of this delay in start of hashtime, R21x will have discounted hosting for the first month at 50% off!

This offer is only available until R21 begins hashing on Sunday.

That sounds good to me!  I put in my order this morning.  Thanks, DZ and Crew!

I bought shares on dzminercoop. order # 1398, 1395. I would like to get a refund on order 1395 because i am thinking of buying a ltc mining rig and give it a try myself. I prob put an order in for an rig on your site once i decide which one.

Also i would like to know if my order # 1398 is completed?

Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi Bitcoiner12,

Thank you for the kind comments!

If you wanted to apply GB shares directly to an LTC mining rig, you could skip the 1.5% restock fee that's usually incurred.

Also, in this GB, and in most GBs offered by most GBCs, GB refunds are usually no longer available once hardware is shipped, but since this equipment is delayed in starting until Sunday, we can apply any of your GB shares to an LTC rig.

Cheers.

btw, with DC MC, sorry for newbie question, can a member point their hashing share to his own desired pool?

Hey Bakal, we decide as a group if a pool switch is needed except for R20 which will be multi-coin/pool mining with GPUs.

Merry Christmas everyone! If you celebrate or don't celebrate this holiday, my toast of good cheers to you and yours is still the same. I'm thankful for our customers and I'm thankful for you co-op members that have helped make this co-op the success it is today by helping us improve things over time and helping one another out with knowledge. 5 months ago I had no idea I'd form the biggest public co-op in the world for BTC mining.

It's an honor to be the founder and co-leader of a co-op full of so many like minded miners, and I'm both humbled by our success and very thankful to have met my co-leaders, which has resulted in round after round of world class values, and a crypto umbrella company founded upon the core of the DZ MC (with the co-op shielded as a sub-company).

Here's to a successful 2014!

This is both fractional ownership of Industrial Class rigs *and* professionally insured hosting services with both a 24/7 miner support team and 5 IT experts from the DZ MC, installing, operating, and troubleshooting ASIC miners. Our facilities are designed only for ASIC rigs, and unlike other server colocation facilities: our only focus is bringing miners sweet, sweet Bitcoin (or Litecoin if you're in R20).

The hosting fees are split amongst the Round's GB share owners with payouts on the 1st and 15th of the month.

Just wondering, are these bad boys overclockable at all, and if so, how far have people pushed them?
I think they can be OC'd to 200gh/s or something like that but if they break and you OC them your SOL as it voids their warranty.

Interested.
I have only a question: When this will start mine? (+ Delivery about 1 week after order payment, is unclear)

It'll be mining as soon as soon as we get it, and bobsag3 and crew can set it up. Smiley

12/30 Update: R21 has been delayed 2 days because facility #2 wasn't ready for us to move into yet due to necessary electrical work.
Because of the additional 2 day delay: everyone that bought GB shares in R21 now gets 75% off the first month of hosting!

==
12/26 Update and Promo:

Good news/Bad news: the equipment's enroute but won't be up until Sunday due to our move to our larger facility #2!
Good news: Everyone that buys R21x shares until Sunday night, 10PM HST on the 29th of the month, gets 50% off the first month of hosting!

12/21 Update: These are now pre-paid.  Smiley

By request from co-op members in R15/16 and other rounds, here is the DZ Miners Cooperative's first Bitmain Antminer Group Buy!

We're collecting funds for two (2) Antminers for a combined hashrate of about 360 GH/s. If/when we collect enough BTC for 2 Antminers and accessories, we will put an order in with Sushi's Group Buy to host them at our second world class miner hosting facility.

======================================================================================================

To reserve shares automatically and for easiest spreadsheet export,
please visit the new DZ Miner's Coop website.

======================================================================================================

50 shares available per R21 sub-round (equivalent to 2 Antminers).

http://www.dzminercoop.com/?p=1329

======================================================================================================

TL;DR: $135 = 7.2GH/s plus our DZ MC exclusives:

+ Delivery about 1 week after order payment
+ Access to our world class 2nd Miner Hosting Facility (yup, we done broke Facility #1's capacity). This facility was designed by several IT pros (including bobsag3, -Redacted-, and yours truly) with Cryptomining as its sole purpose. This is the same facility or near the similar facility Black Arrow will be using for US Sales & Hosting for North America; bobsag3 is Black Arrow's official US Reseller.
+ 3 PSU units (1 as a hot spare)
+ Estimated 20 minutes backup time from Server Grade UPS units and Battery Bank
+ Gas Generators for longer blackouts
+ Additional A/C cooling (to explore safe overclocking, if the Group Buy chooses to void the warranty)
+ 500 Mbps Verizon FIOS
+ T-Mobile LTE (for redundancy)
+ access to a 24/7 miner support team focused strictly on cryptominers (including DZ MC co-leader thomas_s)
+ access to 5 world class IT experts who have built the largest public Bitcoin Miners Cooperative in the English Speaking world

Hosting/Management is: $275/month per rig + 0.5% Management Fee. Payouts are scheduled for the 1st and 15th of the month for BTC rigs.
