That would be great. i am guessing that it is a made up address and his caller ID mask is just a random number in Maine.

That uber sucks that his phone doesn't work.

I thought, if anything, I would be able to do what I did to the last person who scammed me: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bounty-bitcoins-for-prank-calls-28408

500 texts/minute adds up pretty quick to a phone bill.

*sigh*. I got tricked pretty good. I thought the way he acted was very indicative of not a scammer, but alas...

Yes, i last heard from him on friday after i transferred payment for two 5850s. He said he was going to ship the two cards on Tuesday of this week (being labor day and all) i pmed him on Tuesday night and heard nothing. I pmed him yesterday and heard nothing. Lets hope this is all just a misunderstanding. I will try as well.

thanks

Yeah, I was hoping it was a misunderstanding, but based on the fact that he's logging in (and obviously seeing all of our PMs) and not responding is a bad sign. Plus, the fact that he tried deleting his posts in these threads. Sad

Do you have his contact information? (possible real name, email address, etc) if so post it if he does not respond today. That would be a week without contact from him to me.

A week?!?!

Allright, it's time for those of us in this thread to take this to the next level.

is what I believe his contact info is. I had him call me from that number, so I'm pretty sure it's his number. I'm going to try to reach him through the day, and I recommend anyone else who got scammed do so as well.

Please report back in this thread if you can reach him.

Unfortunately my wife saw our latest electricity bill and I need to start parting out my mining equipment. Sad

I still want to be involved in the community so I'm only interested in btc as I feel bitcoins has a bright future and I want to be a part of it. Later today I will post the rest of my mining equipment but right now I'm only selling my 5 5850's and my 5970.

Make me a real and fair offer(btc offers only) and I will most likely take it. I'll sell individually or altogether.

Thanks Smiley

LOL you've got to be a complete moron to buy anything from a new user.  99% chance it's a scam.

List your source pls. Do you have a ratio of new sellers scam/real ratio? Have you been keeping track of these in a database? Truth is, all sellers here are 'NEW' for the first sale. What you say is ridiculous and doesn't help anyone. You could have said "Be careful everyone, sometimes new posters are scammers. Be sure you get proof/reputation, etc before buying. Buyer beware". Instead, you just blast someone's post. Nice job.

The price is at what I believe is the low end value for btc. The last time it went this low it jumped back to $11 very quickly. My hope is I can catch it then and sell when its higher. My window of opportunity diminishes if I have to go from paypal to my bank account then to dwolla to mtgox. Plus how do I know the person wont do a buy back on me? If you say they should do it as a gift then it no different then if they paid me in bitcoins.

While he is new and doesn't really have proof other then the fact that he owns the cards all of his points are valid. I'm not interested in buying anything today but I'd like to point out that people have bought with less evidence before and were perfectly fine.

I agree-- It's not a risk I would take tho, and there is another people that think the same way which diminishes the chances of the items being sold..

Anyways, he's being selling them just fine..

can we see a picture of the package list (you can blur out personal information) if it's not too much hassle.. do you take paypal as payment?

Only interested in btc because I think the price will go up eventually.

Easy.. Accept paypal, or any other payment method, from a trusted member and buy your coins later, that way you build reputation, and no-one gets scammed..

People will always post their sells are not scams, scammers or not, pictures with names proof you got the item, doesn't proof you will ship the item..

OP went offline after i asked for personal info to verify before purchasing. Not accusing, just warning. I'll remove this if OP clears it up.

[update] OP got in touch. seems legit... maybe.
