I just learned about CPU only coins today... XPM is pretty well known but I'm not sure if it's still profitable to mine (on the cloud).
You should look into MemoryCoin (disclosure: I'm the CMO of the coin).
I believe it's the most profitable coin especially thanks to the new miner released a few hours ago.
On my i7 4770 with only 4 out of 8 cores running, I'm getting around 0.5 MMC per hour (So in total around 12 MMC per day or 24 MMC for full power which convert to 0.006 BTC per day ON MY PC! Smiley )
