...... You get the gist.

Yes you can. I put a contract in my cart and went all the way to the end. I didn't finish because I don't want to buy and don't have the BTC. You can pay in BTC or via google wallet. At this point, I would pay via google, that way there's a trail in case you need it. No sense paying in BTC until they perform.
People jump the gun pretty quickly...
It's pretty obvious that they buy miners > sell shares (contracts) > buy miners > sell shares (contacts) which is a legitimate way to runs things (infinite supply of machines + same return for everybody = everybody is happy).
Are they honest about it? I can't tell, but people should calm down imo. It doesn't have to be scam all the time.

Expired contracts will only be offered to existing customers. No new customers. I've been in touch with Emanuel. He's very good at communicating, which says a lot. They're depending upon BFL labs 1500 Gh miners and I was late to the game buying my own BFL miners. I'm hoping to reap the rewards from cloudhashing while my BFL orders are pending. We have actually joined the Avalon bandwagon recently. We have purchased 2 terahashes of Avalon chips and they should be assembled and running by June end. Existing contract holders will benefit from this with a contract that starts earlier than the July date.
