Are those real tokens coming from them officially? if there is no such announcements coming from them telling that they have their fan tokens, then don't believe on it. Any developer can create and name it with any other popular clubs or team because they can easily be recognized.

I remember that there's a coin before that's even named after the Rothschild's.  Cheesy

If there's a team that's related to cryptocurrency, sportsbet.io sponsored the Watford FC and this sponsorship didn't even created their token because it's useless. Other than that, I can't remember that there are other teams that's related to cryptocurrency.

Another means to scam or for adoption. There are two things that are possible here: that the intention of the creators of these tokens are for the adoption of cryptocurrency or for them to scam football enthusiasts off their funds. This shouldn't be trusted yet because they lack the temerity as a cryptocurrency project. Advise: don't invest on this project if you really love your funds not going drain. As for me, I won't invest with this project because they lack reputation.

Well, i think it is too early to call accusations against the token; for anyone to invest, a few clarifications is needed. Firstly, there is a need to find out if the tokens are backed by the team, and then secondly, a need to verify of what importance the token will have on the football club, the football fan and sports space et al.

Barcelona would not get involved in cryptocurrency just to cheat on fans, there must be something huge coming soon. Do you have a link to the projects whitepaper?

I think it is an effort to attract the interest of the wider community to enter the world of crypto, seeing today football is an extraordinary hype. that's a good step, but it depends on how the team will manage the token. because if it is not able to increase the liquidity of the token, then the token will sooner or later sink deeper.

For licensing issues, it is still unknown whether the Chilean team has coordinated with the official team or not, which is clear that some European soccer teams have shown interest in crypto. what i've seen is the big italian team, juventus.

I just checked on coins recently added on coinmarketcap yesterday and I noticed something slight different in the cryptocurency ecosystem. I saw a series of European Football Clubs token as a trading asset, all are listed on one crypto exchange www.chiliz.net

Here are all the football club fan tokens
1. Galatasaray Fan Token(GAL)__ https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/galatasaray-fan-token/markets
2. FC Barcelona Fan Token (BAR) __ https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/fc-barcelona-fan-token/markets
3. Paris Saint Germain Fan token(PSG) __ https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/paris-saint-germain-fan-token/markets

I have been able to come up with questions to ask here.

*What are the purpose of chiliz teams listing these clubs token on their exchange.?
*Are those official football Clubs aware of this, if the exchange is practicing impersonation?

I think football club doesn't have idea that there are project using the popularity of them to launch a token, if they know they will make an announcement  about it to get more support from their fans.
The porpuse  is simple they want to create money from it if this one only listed in one exchange then possible that the owner of that exchange have control of that tokens.

I think they see that the cryptocurrency have a bright future, so they think that creating a token for the club will give benefit to the club. Maybe the token can be used for buying the ticket to watch their clubs play against the other clubs or they can use the token to buy merchandise of the club. Maybe we need to wait for more so we know what their real reason to create a token for their club is. If that succeeds, the other clubs will follow behind, and I think they will want to make more money.

By the way is the real and have official link information about fans football club? I think many people get other name without permission and I think have official announcement from football club and fans about they will launch some coin project for the future, be careful when investing with football club coin and maybe some one take their name only.
I myself have not heard about the crypto project sponsored by the soccer club, if this is true and official, then it is clearly very good, only if this is only a strategy of scammers who only take the name of the soccer club to build a new project they are, then obviously very dangerous.
When I saw their token on coinmarketcap, it took me time to realize that, cryptocurrency as a digital market should be monitor to avert millions of dollars be scam from innocent investors online. There is no news from those football club's official websites, this is another way to carryout exit scam as before. These guys aren't aware of their names been used by those scammers or fraudsters online. Those football club's should be contacted for them to take appropriate action against these scammers, though it is obvious that many will still fall for this scam, even though they are warn.

That's exactly what these people must actually do,  it had never been announced on the official web page of any of those Football clubs. The only official news partnership PSG had was with Coincasso coin project.

3 football clubs have their fan tokens.  Roll Eyes

I have some curious and doubtful thoughts on those fan tokens. Which values they have? How about their security technically? Are they all centralized tokens like what we have with Ripple? Are those clubs get troubles with laws if they listed those tokens on exchanges and attract flow of capital from investors?

If those fan tokens go in live market without issues, it will be another trend for oil-based football clubs like PSG to avoid tax report problems. That is not good for football generally. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

Probably this is a new kind of trap in crypto market, I don't understand what is the point of investing in a project related to club and possibly it maybe an imporsonator to get more attention and steal lot of money.

If this was officially launched by the football clubs then it will became hot topic on crypto related forums.

Sometimes last week, I saw an airdrop link in one of the telegram groups I belong to, the link was about PSG token.  To say the truth that was actually the first time I knew there had been existence even some club fan tokens already, for example that of Juventus.  I went ahead to make some findings about the authenticity of the airdrop. When I got to the official Twitter page of the PSG fans, there was no announcement of any airdrop.  Then I knew it must have been the handy work of the scammers.

Here we go again, honestly I never thought that chiliz project can work out or was well supported like this, I'm impressed, in the past I promote a sport project called sportfix, I had too low knowledge about crypto at the time and the project failed big time, since then I always think that sports have to place in crypto space, seem like I'm wrong
Sportfix became successful at last but changed to build on the blockchain of NEM something like that.
Is chiliz a new exchange or old one designed to list only football club fans tokens?

Listing fan club in the cryptocurrency exchange, I think is a welcome development however talking about impersonation is a whole different affairs. So we have to carry out serious investigation into the matter to  verify the legality of the action taking by Chiliz exchange
