Mainstream news outlets are cluless with regards to crypto. They jist don’t get it, can’t control it & that’s what irks them. Imagine reporting on something you really don’t have a clue about.

Imbeciles.

Do not trust the government
It could be that they are simply reporting the recent trends in price.
If price just recently fell by a lot they would report it and seem pessimistic, but it is often quite the other way around.
When price moves violently in one direction, it usually goes the other way in near future.

This video about Bitcoin price prediction is a little bit different. It was posted on You Tube by a guy calling himself "I love crypto", In it he analyses the tweets by CNBC, and points out that virtually all of them are wrong, and by taking a contrarian views, you would have made money speculating on the price of Bitcoin. He suggests that the tweets are by uninformed amateurs, and they reflect the mistakes made by most amateur speculators/investors.
