Excellent answer!!!!

[1] CNC v FTC hash rate

FTC hash rate according to: https://featherpool.com/ : 4.86 GH/s
CNC hash rate according to: http://cnc.dontmine.me:9999/ : 509.16 MH/s

[2] Bigger defacto-pre mine, by this I mean which had the most coin mined in the first day - 2 days so least distributed

Normal distribution:
FTC: 200/2.5 minutes. = 4800/hour
CNC: 88/1 minute. = 5280/hour

However during the first day the blocks are mined super fast because they both started the mine at the lowest difficulty. (I personally consider starting a coin with the lowest difficulty a pre-mine)

I'm not which one has been mined the most so far.

[3] what does  FTC do better than CNC, (Why should FTC survive if CNC is faster)

No idea about this, to be honest they are not really innovative at all. People mine because they don't want to miss out and then build services to validate their coins. There is nothing wrong with this but I don't think these two coins can fight on merits of their technical capabilities. Its almost like arguing what programming language is best. Its a subjective discussion that will not solve. Smiley

Neither is 'better' than the other on paper. They're all based on Litecoin and only minor attributes were changed.

Now, FTC is more developed in the sense there's a lot of different sites supporting it (exchanges, faucets, etc). The developer is also making an effort to improve it (in fact he just released an update today)

CNC seems to be going nowhere - the developer has been MIA since the initial announcement, no updates on the official site. I don't see a future for that coin currently. People are always going to side with the more developed coin.
