I actually had the idea several weeks ago that bus companies should start using bitcoin, too, because they notoriously hate high value cash. They even need you to pay them with the exact amount. And sometimes it can be troublesome. Years ago I tried to take a bus with only a 20 euros bill and it was hell (yeah I know it wasn't smart in the first place haha, but I can't be the only one here to ever have been stuck at the door because of a similar problem).
If they accepted bitcoin life would be so much easier. You just pay and get in the bus. No need to worry about change.
Problem is that, at least in my country, bus companies are state-owned, and before you see state-owned companies start using bitcoin... a lot of time will have passed.

That's what they invented public transportation cards for. You automatically load them if your credit runs low and you just swipe it past the check in pole.

Sure, butcoin could be used here as well, but it is not like that is the only alternative to cash in the bus.

Thanks, I also did not know about that service. That idiot is giving Bitcoin a bad name and there are nobody who can counter his statement made in

public. I guess the only way to counter that, would be to comment on Youtube and pointing to services that can be used as a alternative. I like the

link to UBER, because both technologies have a pretty big disruptive impact on the world.  Grin

the idiot stands at the most busiest part of the train station and tries to heckle

people late for the train? but really how could a professional cnn reporter

not know how to get someones attention, maybe the camera crew was putting people

off,

and that wasnt no limo either that he caught wat a bs artist

That's amazing, does that service work with Uber located in different countries or is this limited to Uber USA? Also, at the moment I'm watching the CNN video on CNN money titles "I lived on bitcoin for 24 hours" thanks! Smiley

Because that idiot isn't bitcoiner, he just get paid to use bitcoin for CNN Money video, so there's no way ke know which services accept bitcoin.
Or he's too lazy to google about services which accept bitcoin.

BTW, any link to that video? I can't find that video on CNN Money Sad

cnn money facebook page, it could be on yt or their website

Thanks for sharing! I have recently watched a similar video where a Bitcoin enthusiast tried to "survive" with Bitcoin in the Bay Area. She failed!
She should have come to Taiwan. You can live here with bitcoins only. Provided that you know where to go you can rent an apartment with bitcoins and eat your fill without problems.

What you can't do with bitcoins here is all about transportation. But provided you don't need to move and are ok with having all three meals at Family Mart (which I wouldn't do for too many days straight though: that's not exactly the healthy choice) then everything is ok.

This is really cool, didn't know this existed for UBER rides. I'm assuming this is applicable for all the 68 countries that have UBER ride services, right? Regarding the idiot you mentioned in the first place, is there a video, it would be fun to see it  Cheesy

I found this in 5 seconds

when u actually learn how payment processors work

you will realise Bitcoin is already accepted everywhere
