It is the first time that I like something from Cobo. The design looks modern but the level of safety is physical hazards, right? For example, there is no private key to open the Cobo Tablet. only screw Driver.

If some colors are added, some tricks in the opening "You can open the wallet by clicking on several sides/points that are modified manually or even just a small key with the impossibility of breaking.
If you add the above features, I think $ 39 will be fair.
This is a metal tablet to store recovery seeds, so there's no need for a private key. And it's fire-proof, can handle temperatures wayyy above house fires.

I always wanted to buy trezor's cryptosteel (which is basically the same as this sollution), but the €130 pricetag always helt me back (i mean, 130 euro's for a piece of steel)... Seriously considering this one now
You should check it out. I would recommend it any day over the others.

If you make multiple copies, it just increases the chances of others finding your recovery seed.

If you can't store a paper or this steel in a place where no one will find, then this will not give you any security.

Ofc steel is better than paper, however a paper can easily last 20 years, as I have seen already
True that, you have to store it in a place nobody can find it. Even better to split the seed and store it. Good for you that paper lasts that long. To each his own, it's steel for me. Cool

Interesting.
This looks like a cheaper alternative to  other more known brand that charges 3 times more for their product.
I would like to see some comparisons

This is slightly safer than a paper...
But if you make some different back ups of your paper wallet, there is no need to have this

It is beautiful and interesting, but not worth 40 bucks imo

Plus, I wouldn't trust a piece of paper to last as long as steel....wear and tear, damage, fading ink...all possible with paper. Somehow having something like this is better. I have a Billfodl and that so much more expensive that this one. 40 bucks is really worth it.

This backup solution is only $39! https://shop.cobo.com/products/cobo-tablet

Excellent quality, easy assembly. It can be used with any software or hardware wallet that supports BIP39. If you're using paper to store your recovery seeds, it might be a good idea to shift to this one. It's definitely worth it.

To be fair, anyone having their seed written on paper should be using something like this (or similar) since it would be more secure. However, is it as reliable as cryptosteel or other similar products? I guess I should look around to see if anyone have tested their durability.
I have one and it's an absolute winner, so much cheaper than cryptosteel or other products. They have some really good reviews on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Cobo-Tablet-Storage-Compatible-Supports/dp/B07RZW8CWY
