The only details I can find on this "self destruct" mechanism are these quotes:
If the cobo vault self-destructs, can i still get my funds back?
Given that the Cobo Vault comes with a "cryptosteel"-like backup tool to store your seed mnemonic and the fact that they say it is BIP32/39/44 compliant, then even if the device wipes itself, you should be able to restore your wallet by using your mnemonic backup to another Cobo or BIP39 compatible wallet and recover your funds.
A custom-made metal tablet for you to store your mnemonic phrase is included

I think private keys are deleted but you just need to use the recovery seed or mnemonic to recover your crypto on another wallet. if you forget your mnemonic then you're in trouble.
