I don't even know how stupid one needs to be to bring literal cocaine into the White House, specially as a tourist. Perhaps, they realized they had it, because accidentally brought them in their pocket from the last night party they had or something and the best solution they found was just to drop it... In the white house.

If there was a tourist or visitor, since the cocaine does not trigger metal detectors, they could have easily continue their visit without the package even getting noticed by the security staff. I have never been in DC, but I don't assume the security people check others pockets after the visit is over.

Yes, one must be truly stupid to knowingly carry any illicit substance into a secure location like the White House. That makes me think if the coke was brought in intentionally and planted somewhere for someone to find. All to make the present administration look bad.

Knowing Hunter uses/used cocaine and was going to be around, why not give the media and tabloids something to talk about. The secret service also announced its closing its investigation due to lack of evidence. Lack of evidence!
If you’re hardcore enough to knowingly carry cocaine into the White house, I don’t see what would make you jittery enough to suddenly want to dispose of it except of course you carried it for the purpose of planting it.

Of course this is more something of an inside job from the security service so they can make some spotlight in the White House despite it being for the bad,it is still publicity all over the world. They knew that the son of Joe Biden is a drug addict and that he had several problems with coke means that they should have not allowed in him in the White House, most probably he has been using it all this time and only now the security service just to show that they are doing their job made this statement. Now they are closing the case for lack of evidence as they are not able to find who is the owner of the substance, that is funny for one of the best security services in the world.

If they are actually closing the investigation because a lack of evidence, then it would mean that this was likely a planned move as you are implying. Someone who unintentionally brought the cocaine to the White House and spontaneously decided to drop it would have left some fingerprints behind. It is also the fact they could not identify the person from the angles of the cameras (assuming they had some of them around the area).

Keeping in mind someone tried to approach the alleged residence of ex-president Obama with a van packed with guns some days ago, going in a tourist visits with some grams of coke to carefully drop with without leaving a trace sounds rather tame from I have watched some people is capable of there in the United States.

Are we sure it isn't Joe's coke?  Grin

If it was found near the President's private residence, then it is Hunter Biden's coke. If it was found near the office buildings, then it was one of the staffers.

Working for Joe Biden must be stressful, makes you want to partake in the devils dandruff.

This is really funny and it is very surprising that even the secret service are looking for a way to find out who could be the owner of the cocaine which is very hilarious. Someone must ha e forgotten it there or mistakenly pour on the ground. We don't know how could be the owner or responsible for that but I think the secret service does not have to close the street just to find out who must to responsible for the that. I hope the police are going to disclose there findings to the public and who must be responsible for that without covering and putting everything under the carpet.

My personal guess is that cocaine belonged to some visitor and dropped out their pockets in the wrong place.

I doubt this is actually some cocaine which belonged to Hunter Biden, though I must admit it is rather unfortunate to Biden's family, because whether one is the son of the president or just a regular citizen, the stigma of being a drug addict who has dealt with such substances in the past seems never to go away.

Curiously, Fox News lately has been testing very closely with the line between information and slander, by implying the drugs are Hunter's but also being careful enough not to commit the same mistake which cost them a lot of money in the defamation lawsuit they had to face with Dominion.

They have to feed the pigs. Last time Fox attempted to go to anything near facts and truths they lost more than 10% of their audience in days. They have now learnt the lesson - people in their audience are not about hearing facts and they choose leaders that have a distant relationship with these. To be honest, that is nothing original from the US, it is just that it is more influential in how other countries play the game.

I think it’s funny that everybody immediately started accusing Hunter Biden of being the responsible party here. We all know his drug of choice is crack so if it wasn’t rocked up he’s probably in the clear. Like others have said, it’s probably another politician or some visitor. I imagine being coked up in the White House might lead to you ditching your stash out of paranoia.

Looks like the White House had an unexpected party crasher! Who knew that 'Coke' was on the guest list? 😄 But on a serious note, it's quite thought-provoking to consider how even the most secure places can encounter unexpected surprises. Time for the Secret Service to upgrade their 'substance detection' skills!

I don't know the big deal is, pretty sure those white suits consume nose candy daily there, it's just that this one time that someone saw the coke and decided to have the media cover it. Didn't Snoop Dogg smoked weed in the White House back then? I guess that place is just as a good place to do drugs as Skid Row.

Whichever way they try to push the ball, the WH is most secured, to break the security going in with such substance is suspicious. Cameras are not taking out from the WH so they should go check who it dropped from  Grin or the visitors tried to play fast one on the securities in WH.

I am so surprised that actually anyone is surprised that there's cocaine in the White House - even the name is calling for it. Now serious, politicians in general are notorious consumers of drugs, and it is not only in the US, it is all over the world. Many times, during negotiations, they have to keep working and speaking and plotting for hours and many times these are "won" by mere exhaustion of the opponent, it is just a question of incentives that they will use "enhancers".

I was only surprised to learn the news that they found it in the WH. Because I thought surely no one would be foolish enough to bring cocaine on their person and enter security with it. The WH is the most secured compound on the planet. No one without a clearance could possibly enter with a powdery substance on them, let alone leave it somewhere on WH grounds without getting caught.

So whoever brought it in went past the secret service checkpoint. And who is notorious for being a crack addict?

I saw a report that suggested the coke was found near the Vice Presidential limo parking spot. Are they trying to blame the coke on Kamala?

Normally I am not surprised that some politicians still use illicit drugs, many people in top positions in society are into one drug or another, habits from the past that followed them into the future. I am closely monitoring reports from the secret service and the investigation they claim to be conducting. I will like to see who they will tag as the culprit and owner of the cocaine, I like to see a name, DNA analysis is being carried out, so a name will be possible, that is if they will agree to make the findings public.

Surely it’s Hunter’s?

Kidding!

Seriously though, it’s not good but it could be anybody. Might not even be a politician that used it. I wouldn’t look too far into it, it isn’t a scandal or anything. Could just be an admin employee or a janitor or something. It’s illegal sure but I don’t think as a nation we need to panic about it.

A very embarrassing situation that caused panic happened in the white house.

Nothing is embarrassing about the discovery because politicians are hypocrites. They criticize the open and do the same thing in secret. Most of these government officials do drugs but they conceal it from the public because they are angels while the people are devils. You only see or hear about the rotten secret lives after they leave office maybe through lawsuits or in their memoirs.

President Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden who has struggles with drug addiction recently visited the White House, could it be his, or there is another active illicit drug user in the white house of the United States? Should citizens be worried? What do you have to say concerning this.

According to reports the substance was discovered in an area accessible to the public. A visitor might have brought it in because this is not the first time such a thing has happened. Musician Snoop Dogg and actor Erkan Mustafa claimed that they have used drugs while visiting the White House. Political opponents are using the presence of Hunter Biden in the White House two days before the discovery to score cheap political points. There is no link between the President's son and the illicit drug for now.

OP you need to check the article you quoted. There are some irrelevant information that is distortion the flow of facts.

The White House and the surrounding area were evacuated on Sunday as the Secret Service investigated an unknown substance found on the grounds that turned out to be cocaine, the authorities have confirmed.

The grounds were cleared “as a precaution” after the Secret Service’s Uniformed Division Officers spotted an “unknown item on the White House complex” at 18th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, a Secret Service spokesman told reporters on Sunday.

The Washington, DC Fire Department’s hazardous materials team was dispatched to evaluate the find, while the Secret Service closed down multiple streets in the area around the White House.

DC Emergency Medical Services soon deemed the substance “non-hazardous” and the streets were reopened. The mystery substance tested as “cocaine hydrochloride,” a recording from DC Fire and Hazmat tweeted by radio aggregator OpenMHz confirmed.

Cocaine is a Schedule II narcotic in the US, meaning it has a high potential for abuse and addiction and is illegal to possess without a doctor’s prescription. The Secret Service was reportedly still investigating the origins of the substance as of Sunday night.
