Hey Bitcointalk Community,

im a total newbie and im looking forward to announce my Altcoin here. I'd be very gratefull if you can help me a bit.

- Are there any rules except the official posting rules here?
- What is the best way to write a post like that?
- General tipps?

Thanks!

Before you eben start jabe a vision. Are you here to make a coin or just make quick money. Of you Jere for quick money then please dont make an Ann we dont need more scams. If you not planning to do that which I hope is the case then you mist make an attractive in depth Ann of your coin with all info needed. Be active and reply to people. Dont give up ! Thats the most important. Just stick around and ride it out. Hood loads of promos and campiagns for bounty too. Good luck.

Very good advise. Ill care about that.

Good practice when making an ANN is to be transparent about your project. People will go through your project on github so if there's premine, best just mention that in the ANN. Do link github to your ANN!

Also, a timeline or roadmap is what people like to see. It kinda shows commitment, or at least an intention to commit.

Here is the thread for Alt-coins announcements:

Bitcoin Forum > Alternate cryptocurrencies > Announcements (Altcoins)
You can also see the guides, FAQ in that thread.

Thanks!

Just go browse that thread and you will see how they make announcements professionally
and don't do the same mistakes they make. I saw one there who haven't compiled the source
code for their wallet so a lot has of members complained.  Grin

Also, when you are ready, make sure that you post it in the correct section of the forum. The https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0 section is the section for altcoin announcements.

No.

Make it look professional at least (most tend to just post without even aligning stuff). Few simple details that can be done with provided tools above each post can have a big impact.

- General tipps?
It would be best to have an account that is at least Jr. member and above so the images would be shown normally (instead of links if posted by Newbie users).
