CoinDirect was the single worst Bitcoin purchase / exchange experience I’ve ever had.

I tested them with a simple 200 EUR purchase, to be converted to BTC and withdrawn.

After 6 weeks of going around in circles with customer support, I still have nothing from them and they still have my 200 EUR.

My actual credit card transaction never appeared in my account and that took countless emails and days to sort out. Each time their canned / automated responses were less and less relevant. They first spend all our their talking about how I can’t withdraw my BTC as there’s a holding period for new customers… um… I never asked about withdrawing BTC as I have no BTC. I’m asking about the payment of my 200 EUR. They must have 10 year olds manning support because the answers they have were of no use.

I finally saw the money in the account and then they’re asking if I authorised a transfer to a wallet. No, I never authorised anything. So they declined the request. But first big question… why on Earth was there a request there in the first place… from whom? And to which wallet? They couldn’t answer those questions.

I suggested a refund back to my CC - a request repeatedly ignored.

Fine, so I try and withdraw my BTC and they tell me the daily limit is 0.0005 BTC as I’m a new customer. What the? I can only withdraw 0.0005 per day and the withdrawal fee is 0.0005 ! This has to be a joke… but apparently it’s not a joke - it’s a scam.

You should only use a trusted site/app and services. Its a lesson for you though. Don't be deceived on advertisements that just popping out on the internet. Before using them, make a background check first and find reviews/feedback. Or you can also search on this forum, ask questions and find answers if it is recommended to use a certain app/service or not.

I don't use coindirect but why is it that the term 'bank' has been used OP?

Not going to accuse them of anything, but.. A very quick google search resulted in this:
https://www.hellopeter.com/coindirect (1.95 stars out of 5.00)
https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.coindirect.com (1.9 stars out of 5.0)

And then the Google Play app has an average of 2.9 stars out of 5.0...

The first thing you should do before using a service/platform is check what the community's voice sounds like.
With this rating, I guess it's clear that they have a poor support and service to their customers. A very low satisfaction rating.

I will post screen shots tomorrow if no coins
You really should so your accusations will have a basis and you should create one on the scam section, for people to notice it, just do the right format you can get it in the official scam announcement section and thank for warning us this is to avoid people for using that site.

I will suggest you to wait a bit more till the support response. If they don't reply then create topic/ move this topic to scam accusations with valid proof plus coindirect bitcointalk account if have any accounts in this forum. But before creating scam accusation you should wait for their Support.

Purchased (^ Waves token today at 17:22 and i have recieved nothing.

not responding to emails either.

My bank says they will refund both transactions:

1. £33 for doge
2. £67 for Waves

i recieved doge but no waves.

i will get both transactions back from my bank tomorrow if they havent paid out.

save yourself a phone call to your bank and stay away from them.

screens if needed.
