Yes, that is bitter. There are several offers of doubling coins or similar like high intersts and so on. I would categoriese those offers in two sections.
Scam and ponzi-scam
Scams steal the money at once. Some pay the first participants that they recrute more users to collect more money and then turn into scam. There are users who search for new ponzis in the hope to make profits. But the first thing is, this is high risky and the second is the moralic point to lead refs into a trap. The third thing is, that in many countries ponzis are under punishment.
The best way is to find other profitable ways to collect more coins like maybe trading, paid writing, lending for reasonable interest, signature campaigns or supporting new promising projects and so on.
But many thanks for sharing your experience and best luck for you, that you will find a good way to gain profits in future.
And don't forget to feedback this user, if he is member of bitcointalk and stole your money, that he has bad points and other users are warned about this member.

Anyone knows that. But still, a lot of reports that many noobs fall in these craps. If you actually study how  it works, it's too good to be true. I mean, how they do that? How they can double your coins? From that, it's very easy to determine that they are scams. Thanks for the warnings anyway and sorry bout your loss. HYIPs are scams. Keep that on mind.. Beware of them.

Lucky you lost coins you got for free from an airdrop.
Good lesson learned with minimal loss.
Anyone saying double your coins or more coins for free means scam 99.9% of the time.

The thing is when you here something called as Doubler then that is the first sign of scam and you should just turn your head round and walk. :-)

Since the bitcoin got its attention in 2015, sites like bitcoin doubler started coming into existence. They are not real and they will also show you live data feed which shows who has doubled their coins, but of course it's fake. So just be aware of them.

This danger, we must be more careful in accepting projects of any kind, before we decide to join in a project we must first make sure who the owner and how the future prospects and first asked in the forum or to the experienced. Thanks for the information.

There has been quite a long history of projects that try to be breached out as "doublers" but in reality they are nothing more than ponzi schemes. You really should stay away from such schemes unless you're into taking extremely high risks with your coins. Better just gamble in a provably fair platform IMHO.
