Hi,

Is this thread closed?

The link seems broken.  If you are genuinely releasing it to the public, why not put it out on git?

Thanks

Just a little warning here folks...

You're downloading a program from someone with a forum activity level of 3.  Does this seem wise?

Hi xstr8guy,

your point is not lost on me.  There are many people out there trying to hack everything Bitcoin.

From my end I know I'm honest and looking to build a trusted software business, but of course the hackers would say that too.

For people who want to try Coin Finder, but want to be sure that it can be trusted here are some steps you can take to make sure that nothing can go wrong and even if something could go wrong, it will be such a small lose as to be unimportant.

step 1)
have a windows machine or windows virtual machine with nothing on it, just the Coin Finder trial.
That way it has no access to anything important and you will still be able to see how it works.
(I understand this may not be practical for everyone, but it is a sure fire way to stay safe from new software )

step 2)
If you want to see real trades happening, setup a new CEX.io account or use an existing account with very little in it.
Study the documents and forum threads on CEX regarding their API.

They have thought it out well from a security point of view.

- With the CEX.io API you can ONLY trade from the IP address you specify.

- Their API only allows you to trade within your account.  It does not allow your funds to be transferred to another account.

Originally I created Coin Finder because I didn't trust giving another website my CEX details.  I feel that it is safer keeping that information on my local machine and locking it to my IP address.

Cheers

Hi,

Would you be able to post better instructions/setup details....perhaps for someone who is unfamiliar with the topic? Smiley I downloaded the trial but don't even know where to start to make anything work. I would love to give this a try, though. Thanks!

Hi Undertow,

It can be a little complex because Windows blocks most software downloads.  If you are getting stuck here, do a bit of googling on how to get Windows to cooperate.

But assuming you have been able to download Coin Finder, the running is simple.
It has one start button at the top right to get going.

What Coin Finder shows is quite a bit of information.

The trial has a list of theoretical profitable trades it has made.
They are the actual trades that the full version would make.  Of course in the full version the profit is real, not theoretical.

If you leave Coin Finder trial running for a while ( say while you are at work or overnight ) then you will see how many trades it would have made for you and the profit on each one.

At the bottom of the screen is a console showing the raw data sent and received from CEX.io.
We wanted to be as transparent, open and honest as possible about what Coin Finder is doing with their money, so we included this.

Cheers

Hi,

I'm releasing my CEX.io trading bot to the public.  Its called Coin Finder.
http://bcoinex.com

It uses triangular arbitrage to find profit opportunities that in essence give free GHS.

Here's a the wikipedia on the math/technical details of triangular arbitrage
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triangular_arbitrage

I've been using it for a while now and it has been working for me.

I thought I would release it and see if the bitcoin community is interested in this sort of thing.

There is a trial that lets you work out if it will make any profit for you.

I would love to hear feedback and of course if you decide to be a customer I am here to help as much as I can.

Cheers
