Mined IO Coins all night and traded for the BTC.

Really nice multiples but I think the fun is about to be over after a few more diff increases.

Also, https://i0exchange.bitparking.com

Appears to be offline currently......

Yeah, slightly odd, ixchange and exchange are both up, but i0exchange is the only one down. Maybe Oldminer, er I mean Takawhatever slipped a few hundred thousand ixcoins for the server to "crash" for a while.

It will be interesting to see how long these forks survive before people decide they have no value. IMO the new forks will just end up giving a bad name to Bitcoins from the POV of mainstream media

I'd be surprised if anyone in the mainstream media ever even hears about these dime in a dozen forks.

my bank statement says otherwise  Grin

Mine too love that namecoin made thousands off that so far..

namecoin actually has a purpose.  It does something different.  I'm not including namecoin in the IxCoin-bullshitCoin mix.

You mean like I0Ucoin?  Grin

It's a manufactured "bitcoin fork" similar to the manufactured debt ceiling crisis.

Off-topic, I agree.

If people want to, as I see it, waste their time with these clones, hey, that's up to them.

My concern is that uninformed people will be confused by them, for example, the media at the Bitcoin Convention seeing the IxCoin table.

I think, when the question comes up, we need to have a good answer.  I like "They are experiments based off of Bitcoin.  The result of these experiments validate the inherent value in Bitcoin",  or something like that.

So IXCoin is off and running already, now I hear something about IOCoin? Perhaps someone could collect information about the coin forks in one convenient location? How they're doing, who is using them, why they exist, etc.

I believe it's called the "Off Topic" sub forum, sir Smiley

Because we obviously require AT LEAST three currencies for daily use -- especially considering the number of virtual currency users -- almost 4,000!

here's a summary:

1. moral outrage gives birth to bitcoin
2. greed gives birth to ixcoin
3. moral outrage gives birth to i0coin
