I'm going to take a proper look in the next few days and I'll then give some feedback. Looks like a much better alternative to my current method. Thanks a bunch. How does it work in regards to what coins are available, is it all coins on coinmarketcap?

Hi Grimes,

Yes pretty much. It uses the coin market cap api to get the information. There is an element of manual process on my side to add each of the coins but my aim is to have them all listed soon.

I am going to be adding "overall portfolio" viewer so you can see value overall and will add a secure area to vault up public keys, private keys and passwords. There is a lot I am looking to do with it to improve including the GUI to make it look cleaner and more modern.

Thanks again!

Within the 'overall portfolio' viewer that you hope to add in the future could you include an option to have 'custom' coins added, so that users can add coins that are not yet on coinmarketcap, they would have to input their values manually but it would still then mean that they could somehow track their whole portfolio in one place.

The application is ready to download at http://www.filedropper.com/cryptowatchv10

Please let me know what you think and if you think it is useful and let me know if you install it so I can see how many downloads it is getting.

Thanks

Hi sorry,

Not sure why the link isnt working. I am working on it making it looks better but just getting the functionality to work at the moment.

Essentially you click the coin in the left list box and it automatically displays the live information and your coin balance which is linked to a local database.

Here is another link - it will look better soon.

When I click through to the link it doesn't show me anything. Hopefully you can find a way to share this because honestly it sounds awesome and like something I could really use.

Right now I keep a weekly record of my holdings and their value but I do it all manually via excel, this is after failed attempts at using apps like blockfolio. If I could have something on my PC that does most of the work automatically that would be truly great.

If you take serious time out to update it with all existing coins and the new ones added you could get a big userbase and monetize the app with ICO advertisments for example. Goodluck.

Too right, you wouldn't be able to charge a lot if you did monetize it in that way and so ad revenue would probably be a better route but if you can make it work then it would be very valuable to many. I've always been really surprised that coinmarketcap doesn't have a feature like this.

Nice, there's not a whole lot of desktop applications for tracking coins. I personally don't really use my phone a lot but currently the desktop applications that are on the ''market'' aren't updating fast enough to track all coins.

Hi all,

I have made a desktop application which is very useful - at least to myself to monitor my coins, the value of them and the history of my purchases.

I am not sure where I can upload for other people to use but here are some screenshots and a list of things you can see and do.

1. View Live prices for over 50 different coins (still increasing)
2. View coin market cap for the same coins
3. See 1 hour, 24 hour and 7 days percentage increase/decrease of value (colour coded for increase or decrease)
4. Ability to enter in your coin quantity for each type and see overall value based on current rate
5. View history of incoming and outgoing coins
6. View coins market position by market cap

As I say, this is a desktop application and you can view everything you need without visiting multiple websites. It does not require your wallet details and instead relies on you manually adding coins. It gives you a really quick way of being able to view your portfolio live.

Hope you guys are interested and if so, please let me know where I should upload for people to use.
