This is where I found this site.
You can't trust any site which provides mixer reviews like this. Most of the time, the scammers who create the scam mixer also create these fake review articles or sites. They include one or two well known and reputable mixers in to the list - such as ChipMixer - to give their list some fake credibility, and then fill the rest of the list with scam mixers. Looking at your list, just off the top of my head I know that UltraMixer, SmartMixer, CryptoMixer, and [banned mixer], are all proven scams.

Not just for mixers but for any service you want to use, you will always be safer using a large and well known community such as this one and either asking trusted and established members or looking at the trust ratings and/or scam accusations against such companies.

I thought I did do some research but clearly not enough.

Unfortunately for you and many others, this site is not reliable when it comes to news, and obviously in terms of information when it comes to services like mixers. I can't say anything good or bad about other mixers except ChipMixer, which is proven to be reliable - but you were obviously attracted by the picture with anonymous masks, because that mixer is in 6th place out of the possible 9 listed.

Since the article was last updated less than a month ago, it is quite unserious of them to provide this kind of information without actually checking whether these services work or not. If you want to help others not fall into the same trap, you can contact them and ask them to remove that mixer or to warn readers of a possible scam.

Unfortunately OP was scammed. Anyway, OP can read [Guide] Decent mixing methods and use Wasabi wallet that has Tor and Coin Join transaction. It is good for mixing (half-way mixing as theymos said) and good alternative if OP does not want to use ChipMixer.

The given topic about scam mixers are good to read too. Many mixers are scam and if OP can not identify what is good and what is scam mixer, it is very risky.

You've been scammed, unfortunately.

The site is a cookie cutter template. It pops up, scams as many people as it can, and then when it becomes widely known about, simply changes it name and starts again. Here are a couple of other incarnations of the same site. Check the identical text on the landing pages:

https://mixcoins.io/
https://bitcoinmix.net/

If you do a web search for some of the text, you'll find other sites in search results which have been reported as scams and taken offline or which the scammers have stopped paying for since they have moved on to a new name.

Unfortunately, you will be unable to recover your coins. Take it as an expensive lesson in checking out who you are dealing with before sending them any money. In future, I would suggest using the ChipMixer links you can find in my signature. They are the most trusted mixer in existence, and have a very active forum presence.

I have tries to tumble a couple hundred uk pounds through anonymix.io

This happens when you first use something and then ask about its legitimacy. It seems to me that this service exists only as a trap into which some stray souls are obviously caught here and there. Too bad for the money you could have spent better, this way you can only hope that a miracle will happen - even though the whole thing stinks of scam.
Usually the case of most people do really get experience these unfortunate events before they do tend to make out some queries or finding out suggestions or comments from the community but its already too late.

If they could really just spent out a little portion of their time on making out some research then they might able to save their asses up and speaking with Mixers then the only one i do trust up is
Chipmixer and yes this had been a long time running mixer which could trusted up and i dont put up much confidence on other platforms.

Here's one thread/post whatever you call and that's only one from the official owner- https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-anonymixio-raffle-promotion-win-btc-5211708
It's not an announcement thread and OP was not active for a quite long time. One thing I'm surprised that they don't have any more posts. Check the below-quoted post-
Today Anonymix is announcing our End of Year Raffle Promotion!
They announce of their raffle end which sounds like they must have another post but where are they? Deleted? If so, why?

Is it even legit? I really doubt it, these domains also lead to the same content apparently:
Quote
https[colon]//anonymix-mixer[dot]com/
https[colon]//www.anonymix[dot]info
https[colon]//www.anonymix[dot]biz
https[colon]//www.anonymix[dot]cc
That’s not a pattern that looks good to begin with. The contact does work is some of those, but I really doubt there's anything good behind. If you happen to try contact them on these alt sites, be on guard, and make sure that you do not unveil personal information nor sent them more funds.

I remember someone once talked about the anonymix.io site, you can try to read information about anonymix.io below.
This is just one quote, vaguely about anonymix.io.

How about anonymix.io? Is it legit or scam?? Anyone test this mixer?
Where did you find them? They look pretty sketchy if not a scam to me. (Mostly perhaps because i've never heard of them before.)
- low res pictures,
- misuse of anonymous affiliation ?,
- no bech32 support

I don't know..

You can see it inside here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2827109.120, more people discuss it.

Conclusion: from what I read the status of the anonymix.io site is not clear.

Or you can take a look here a reputable mixed site on this forum: Topic: 2022 List Bitcoin Mixers Bitcoin Tumblers Websites

Suggestion:
Why don't you just mix your coins on the ChipMixer site, they already have a reputation for being safer to use.

I couldn't find much information about that specific website; mostly just people on Reddit calling it trash/a scam. How did you find out about it in the first place? There are a good number of more reputable mixers that I don't see any reason to use a shady one.

Hi everyone

I'm new to this forum and got here by looking for help regarding bitcoin tumblers. Well one in specific.

I have tries to tumble a couple hundred uk pounds through anonymix.io

The first part has happened in that the coins are at anonymix but were not sent on to the forwarding address I have teied to contact them but when I press send in the contact I'm just getting the 404 page.

Have I been scammed or am I doing something wrong.

The coins are still sitting there

Any help would be appreciated.

Merry xmas everyone.

Keith
