As of now, I believe you can earn from Coinbase through these methods:

- Referral program, which is probably the hardest as everyone knows about Coinbase and have an account by now.
- Learning about Stellar lumens or 0x and inviting friends to learn about it as well.

Well, not everyone has the coinbase account. Still more than half of the humanity does not know about bitcoins or crypto currencies. This referral scheme still has a lot of potential but we need to find out new people who are totally New to Crypto . We of course cannot found those people on this forum   Roll Eyes

We need to spread the bitcoin to our near and dear ones, to our friends and family and ask them to make the account on coinbase. Also there will be no earning, if our referral does not buy sell the currency on coinbase.

Yep Op is probably talking about the "Coinbase earn" program which allows you to get free XLM, ZRX and a few other coins by watching videos.
Or maybe he's referring to "Coinbase Custody", a staking problem that's gonna start with Tezos.

Eligible Coinbase customers in the US will receive an email invitation over the next few days to earn up to $10 of XLM by viewing Stellar tutorials and answering quiz questions. By sharing their unique referral link, customers will also be able to earn up to $40 more of XLM by inviting four eligible friends to complete the lessons.
I think OP is referring to the XLM giveaway (just know about it now) in coinbase. And as it's clearly described in coinbase website, OP came here looking for confirmation from others before trying by himself.
Nice that he trust this forum.

...
OP posted the topic in services board (if am not wrong). I reported it to moderators after suggesting OP to move the thread to beginners board.

He do really mean about that stellar giveaway but sadly this is only applicable for US users Afaik.

Basing on whats written on their blog;

By sharing their unique referral link, customers will also be able to earn up to $40 more of XLM by inviting four eligible friends to complete the lessons.

I think he is talking about the free coins you get from forks, hence the reason he posted in the web wallet section.  And I am not sure but Coinbase credited only for the BCH fork, if you owned X BTC before in Coinbase before the block #xxxxxx.

Coinbase has two meanings:
  -Mining reward: yes you will receive free BTC if you successfully add one block to the Blockchain. (12,5btc+transaction fees)
  -Exchange platform: indeed I didn't ever hear about any kind of giveaways in this platform. If so, maybe other users can confirm it.

Which one you meant?
