It is really a good start for some altcoins in particular as this would bring about a huge market for them as well. It is a good thing that coinbase has been able to come up with some good framework in getting coins listed and I believe this would really speak well for the community at large when it comes to trading coins or tokens that complies with their local law and have a solid ground in terms of good team and project to capitalize on in the long run. I would say in the long run, it is indeed a good step for the market in the right direction.

Yes what you are thinking about coinbase is right because the coinbase going listening the more coin in cryptocurrency market like top coins and it should be going to be game changer in cryptocurrency market I also hope that.I think such kind of development required for Crypto market to Boom

I don't have faith on exchange wallets before I was using this wallet but I was using this coinbase wallet. I feel they were good to listing side and to organise the fund at there.
I have their android app and had happy experience with the coinbase. May be expecting it them on process of listing too.

Well, a centralized wallet will always be a centralized wallet as long as you do not have full control over your funds, but in terms of reputation over the years and for the fact that it is a regulated exchange that complies with the U.S law, it is a good exchange to want to trust but nonetheless, it is always better not to put all that you cannot afford to lose on an exchange as that is something that can back fire if anything shitty happens most especially when it comes to an attack on the exchange.

Based on what the OP said however, I believe this move of coinbase is a good one and should bring about some sanity as well into the market in the long run.

This would help a lot of newbies to crypto's that doesn't have an idea on how to exchange, invest and buy crypto's. Since coinbase is a very popular exchange, listing more tokens would likely benefit them.

I guess it will increase the demand for the chosen coins that will be approved to get listed there. I'm just concern with the method that they will use of choosing an altcoin because it can be political behind the selection process.

That's good for mass adoption, since coinbase is one of the best newbie friendlies platforms where people can easily buy and sell cryptos, sometimes they can get annoying with the KYC, but in general it's a good service if you don't want to get too involved with cryptos but still want to be a part of it.

It's a positive for the markets only because it adds liquidity to these new coins, as far as boosting the price I don't think it will have an enormous effect, maybe a small pump for each coin but nothing sustained.

I think that the coinbase affect is over with, as they start to list more and more coins it will have less of an effect on the price.

Look at ETC, hardly any sustained price action, small pumps then corrects back to previous lows.

Look at ZRX, BAT and ZEC on July 13, 2018...all had small pumps to new highs that did not hold

Coinbase announced that they have now set up a new listing process for digital assets that will "comply with local law," by amending legal issues with government agencies and national . Coinbase currently supports Top 5 currencies such as Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum (ETH), Ethereum Classic (ETC) and Litecoin (LTC). Coinbase hopes to list more digital assets - faster - with changes in the listing process. The company has also changed the way it is announced: new properties will be announced near the launch date of Coinbase products.

If they can accelerate the listing of more new coin, do you think this is a positive thing for the market? And this can be the driving force to boost prices for the market?
